Moreno out due to injury, not sure if it's the same one but I thought 1 week sounded to good for that area. I'd be surprised if he's back next game but if it wasn't serious that shouldn't be too bad
Please just be healthy for the World Cup. Really all that matters at this point. If I found out that Maza has to start against Neymar, I may have a heart attack. Or an ulcer. Or both. Simultaneously.
So as I suspected the guy is still out due to injury. Apparently, it's a bruising of the coccyx. In an athlete and with proper physical therapy healing time should only be about a month to a month and a half, give or take a week. I was under the impression that we would start getting ready for the WC in early May, I was wrong. He should be back in the next couple weeks, I'm just glad they're not rushing him. He'll get a few games and should be rested and in rhythm by the time the pre-WC friendlies start. No reason to worry about missing the WC.

What do you guys think of Hector Moreno joining a premier league side? He's got ties with Pochettino and Louis van Gaal. United could definitely use a new CB now that Vidic is off and Ferdinand is getting old. Here are some excerpts from an interview he gave a few years back: On LVG: On Pochettino:
I predict Aguirre's time is coming to an end soon. The higher ups have unrealistic expectations of where the team should be, given the players at its disposal...
I'm pretty sure there was a story a while back about the management not being content with Espanyol's performances and their position when they were just above mid table. Now they're 12th. Also, take note of the bolded, it's merely a prediction.
Aguirre To France Salvador descarta a Javier Aguirre, asegura que iría al fútbol de Francia @TiempoReal_mx— JAVI ALONSO (@javialonsordz) May 8, 2014 "Con Javier Aguirre no hemos hablado, creo que va a Francia", Luis Miguel Salvador— Nathalie Juárez (@natjuarez9) May 8, 2014
What's amazing is that Rayo have been dead last all season and now they have more points than Espanyol
Saved from relegation. Aguirre, you know what to do, rest Hector Moreno in the last match where you have nothing left to play for. If Moreno plays the last game and gets injured, Im flying to Barcelona to give Javier Aguirre the ass whooping of a life time.
Javier Aguirre podría ya no dirigir al Espanyol. En próximos días se confirma su salida como entrenador del plantel. http://t.co/B4Oh8AokFV— LosCapitanes (@ESPNCapitanes) May 15, 2014

It was expected. I thought he did a good job with what he was given to work with. Read he was going to Qatar. Meh. He'll always be seen as a mid table DT.
