I suppose but then again everybody gets hammered by bertha, who really enjoys watching bertha play?
they always win by 4 or 5 where is the fun in that? the fun part about the game is not knowing if your team is gonna win, that possibility of defeat is what makes a game good, but when you know they are gonna run the score on you always, how is that fun?

Because they play by far the most beautiful football in the world. That's fun to watch.

If know they are gonna put 5 past the opposition that kills the "excitement" IMO.

El Vasco is a players' manager, not a tactically astute manager, that's why he's had success in improving the fortunes of struggling teams, but hasn't had success in helping good teams take the next step.

With two years having passed, the end result in 2010 is still disappointing, but let's not forget that Aguirre saved El Tri from the embarrassment of not qualifying -- not once, but twice taking over national teams in full-on self-destruct mode. He motivates players and helps them to regain confidence, but as was proved in 2002 against the U.S. and in 2010 against Argentina, Aguirre's lack of tactical know-how led to some panicked and questionable lineup decisions.

El Matador for Ramoncito after half an hour in 2002?

    Starting Bofo vs Argentina?

The dude panicked under pressure and rolled the dice with moves completely out of left field.... His biggest flaw was his trust in

I was disappointed, for sure, but I can still appreciate the positives of his two tenures, though.

He had a very good run with Atletico, a team that had been underperforming for quite a while.

This notion that he only works well with relegation fodder can be easily torn apart if one looks at his tenure with Osasuna.

3-3-1 since Aguirre took over with matches against Sevilla, RM, and Barca in there.

2010 was such a goddamn shame. If it had not gone down the way it did, Aguirre would probably be a gawd. Even with the team that he ended up bringing, we were doing well until that first goddamn goal.

Because Aguirre is responsible for the lack of youth players coming through the pipeline between 1994 & 2005. Fack you Aguirre we would be hoisting that world cup if it weren't for your callups of Bofo and Guishe.

2010 was tragic, and so was 2002, but 1994 was even more pathetic.
