    Talk about MPS,

    http://harrisburgheat.com/components/com_gk3_photoslide/thumbs_big/399882Pickup.jpg

if they score it through the basketball hoop first and then the goal, they should get an extra few points.

You sure that's not their practice facility? I sure would've thought if they came back they'd play in that state fair complex (regardless of the league). I'm not going to travel up their to see them play in that dump, not worth my time.

    I spy a 3 point line. blasTphemy!

Unbelieveable. So now we have 2 old (and moderately successful indoor squads...in name at least) coming back and running around in the dump zone. Just think if they would get things together and make one GOOD league, with modest budgets, playing in real buildings. We would have something. BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Now we have the PASL runnin around scooping up dead carcasses as well as the MISL. Nice.

The actual turf looks nice here, but as far as anything else. Crap. Are they gonna play games in there? It would be easy to schedule players. Bring the Lightning in on Friday and we will grab some players from the P/U game and slap some old purple tee shirts on em..

Where is the actual article on the rebirth of the Heat? I go to the website but I just don't see it...

Never said there was an article, there is just PASL crap all over this website. That's all. Why would a practice facility in Harrisburg be sponsored by the San Diego Sockers?

I agree. What is actually said on there website is:

We are the Original indoor soccer facility in Harrisburg. Since 1990, we have provided Wall to Wall excitement to the Central Pennsylvania community.

For 11 years we were the official training center of the Harrisburg Heat, Central Pennsylvania's professional indoor soccer team. Sports City offers leagues, tournaments, instruction, and pickup games for many sports including soccer, lacrosse, basketball, field hockey, volleyball, and any other sport one can play indoors. We also host special events such as trade shows, professional sporting events, corporate expositions, and parties.

So the reality seems to be. They own the URL. No mention of a return. If they were really coming back couldn't Syd confirm that?

Ok, I get what you're saying... kind of... (Maybe I'm blind but I don't see any PASL references at all there(?))

I think they just bought the domain when it became available... kinda like how the Comets bought up www.chicagoriotsoccer.com

Sorry for posting the wrong field. The field itself doesn't look bad at all - just doesn't have any arena feel to it.

You also said the KiXX were going to the PASL-pro... I don't see why either team would - their eastern division isn't eastern enough.

because the pasl is a cheaper league to play in , the kixx had it on their facebook page last year that they want to be a part of the pasl

the only news we have is on the sidekicks , i did not know the pasl started the same time as the misl dallas stated their first game was nov 3rd 7 the misl starts nov 2nd

I HATE this new big soccer format, and I also am not a fan of the new teams the PASL has. Kudos to them, but I think it just blows that 2 decent soccer markets now have garbage PASL soccer instead of mediocre MISL soccer. More teams to come also apparently. They will soon have 27 teams, all ex-MISL NPSL cities, and 1/2 playing before flies in tiny stinking practice joints. I don't get it.

I hope the Heat survive and make it. Anyone who wants to hate on them for joining the PASL over the MISL needs to contact Chris Economides and the USL. Bottom line- $25,000 to join the PASL or $125,000 (Plus annual dues of $40,000) to join the "TOP" league in the country.... and its a no brainer.

The MISL could have had a very strong East Coast market and a storied rivalry renewed with Baltimore and Harrisburg. They want to stand firm on their requirements to join, and you will see what you get in the future.

The return and guaranteed flop of another team in Chicago ... 2 teams (Syracuse and Norfolk) on life support.. 1 of your most successful franchises (Milwaukee) that are never a given to return from year to year..

Yes, join the MISL and be behind the 8-ball and $300,000 in debt before you kick out the first ball. Have to be a moron to join, although you will get a front office staff in Tampa that you can contact for "guidance"

BTW- does anyone really think the fans of the HEAT are going to even realize they are playing in the PASL and NOT the MISL?
It's indoor soccer at the Farm Show period. Harrisburg v Louisville or Harrisburg v Norfolk.... same game, same arena, and the owners can still break even in the first year and build from there.

Dallas, Harrisburg, Philadelphia.... more to come?

Why do you say that Syracuse is on life support?

BTW: They re-updated their website (harrisburgheat.com) - I don't get what the prez. Obama message is about on their news ticker thing...

They were smart enough to play in the actual Farm Show Arena... def. has a better atmosphere for indoor soccer than that practice facility of theirs... It's really the right fit for indoor soccer. And I even think I will say they were smart for playing in the PASL - even though they don't have any nearby rivals. In their first lifespan, they did way better competing in the NPSL than they did in the (old) MISL. But for that new logo of theirs... it has to go.

Does it take that long to photoshop a stock flaming ball over the old word logo?

I still have an old shirt and hat from their old NPSL/MISL days...

If they're going to use a new logo they should have at least incorporated purple into it.
White shirt and red logo... that's just so bland...

Their original 1991 logo looks better than the one today...

(and graphic programs have only gotten better since then, you would've thought the same with their logo.)
