The final scores was BATE Borisov 2:0 Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona. BATE got two yellow cards and Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona got five yellow cards including a second yellow for Dusan Matovic in the 70th minute. Vitali Rodionov scored in the 29th and 78th minutes.

It will take a miracle to advance - but it's still possible! If you will it, it is no dream...;)

Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona scored in the 67th minute and were trailing 2:1 on aggregate when BATE Borisov scored in the 4th minute of stoppage time to get a 1:1 draw and win 3:1 on aggregate. I'm still happy with how Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona played. I'm going to stop posting here and continue posting about them and probably Hapoel Tel Aviv in the Europa League topic. The Europa League Group Stage draw is Friday.

    Group Stage draw:

    Group B:
Atletico Madrid (Spain) from Pot 1 (the best pot)
Hapoel Tel Aviv from Pot 2
Viktoria Plzen (Czech Republic) from Pot 3
    Academica (Portugal) from Pot 4

Viktoria Plzen finished third in their Champions League group last season including getting a draw against AC Milan. Then they were eliminated by Schalke 04 in the Europa League Round of 32. They had the second worst coefficient of the 12 clubs in Pot 3.

    Group I:
    Lyon (France) from Pot 1
Athletic Club Bilbao (Spain) from Pot 2
Sparta Praha (Czech Republic) from Pot 3
Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona from Pot 4

Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona will have a hard time getting points because their three opponenets were all among the top four clubs in their pot. Sparta Praha has a 25.570 coefficient compared to 29.641 for BATE Borisov who knocked Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona out of the Champions League.

Hapoel Tel Aviv gets a tough draw. . . but Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona will be lucky to avoid propping up the group.
