What are the rules to LA with their Galaxy II. Is it a reserve squad. Do the have more players that aren't sign to the first team that play. And shouldn't part of our deal with Harrisburg be that they should play the players where the Union want? I'm too lazy to look up the information, Im sure someone has laid it all out before.
The LA Galaxy loaned six of their players to Galaxy II. Loaning would have to imply that all six players are all on MLS contracts, but I am unsure about the contracts of the rest of the players on Galaxy II. I assume the rest are on USL PRO contracts. I'm not aware what type of claim/rights the Galaxy (MLS) have on those players, if any. In reality, if all LA are doing is loaning a handful players to Galaxy II, then it doesn't sound too different from what the Union already have arranged with Harrisburg.
I don't think the Union technical staff has much of a say how/when/where the loaned players participate on the HCI squad, however.
They don't. The Galaxy brass have control over Galaxy II operations which is a significant difference. I was only referring to how the loan set up is similar.
I thankfully missed the match today. Saw some tweets moaning about officials, I auto ignore those. Also that Berry looked bad, Zac and Nogs good. Saw the Wenger goal highlight. How we feeling? Too early to talk playoff picture?
The east will come down to final match day.... with a crew loss, 1st through 7th separated by 3 points.... 6 games in still.
I don't see Cap'n Carroll sitting but going forward I hope Maidana replaces Le Toux. Even if he doesn't bring anything else the set pieces should at least be an upgrade.
The bitching about refs came from a lot of borderline calls going RSL'S way. I haven't seen replays yet but I was certainly frustrated during the match. IMO, I think the ref let the game get a bit out of hand. I can't believe nobody got a card the whole match. It was chippy for sure. There was a play where Hop went down in the box (shock) and I turned around and said, "that either has to be a PK or a card for simulation. I don't see how the right call there is 'play on'." FWIW, my gut reaction to that play was Hop went down easy and should've been carded.
Hoppenot or Fernandes? Simon Borg agreed with the PK call and the two non-PK calls in this week's Instant Replay: http://www.mlssoccer.com/video/2014...eferee-take-exception-flopping-instant-replay
I think you're right. I'm pretty sure it was the second Fernandes play. Maybe I saw the double digit number on the shirt starting with "2" and assumed it was Hop diving again. My bad.
Simon Borg is a clown. Even though I agree with the what he said here about the Union, 75% of the time he is saying some over exaggerated yelling about stupid stuff. And he is wrong, in my eyes, 50% of the time.
If it were up to Simon Borg, every game would end 8 v 8. That said, I love Instant Replay and watch it every week to see the close calls.
Hackworth, since he took over the team, has expressed how he would like the team to play like this: But... Somehow game-after-game I mostly just see this: Got to vary tactics and change them up both within games and between games, John.
Well, if it ain't broke... Never mind. The fact that the other team only has 10 players makes the diagrams realistic but MacMath seems to have wandered off the pitch as well.
A 4-4-2? Hack has become allergic to it. Strikers on an island are consistent with Hacktics, however.
