We can only hope. I dont want to see Klopp at Utd. Van Gaal is a good manager though he doesnt play the type of football the powers that be at Utd are probalby looking for but I think through sheer force of will he will get back to winning ways (plus it screws Spurz which I am all for).
alleged rumour came out during discussions on the severance United in a tough position now if true as they may have to pay him more if they sack him now would not be surprised to see some type of announcement of him leaving at the end of the season
Can see that. Bit I'm utterly shocked by all this. I thought Moyes would do better, but what did they really expect. There are holes all over that side and Fergie was just that good that tactically he could mask the deficiencies. There's no guarantee the next one could do a better job and next season might be a transition year again.
The thing is though, that tactics were probably the single weakest part of Fergusons entire managerial skillset, hence why his best teams came with tactically sound assistants (Brian Kidd for the Cantona era squad, McLaren for the treble team, and Quieroz for when Ronaldo was around). Dont get me wrong, there are plenty of major issues with our squad, but Moyes is just awful at this level and with these players, just look at Mata being used as a 442 touchline winger initially. Of course then there is the argument that he should be allowed bring in his own players, but look at his misuse of one of them (Mata), the disaster that was the other (Fellaini, who is probably the worst value signing at Man Utd in my lifetime) and his obsession with another player (Baines) that surely would not have cut it at the top level as good as he is for Everton, while completely ignoring Madrid basically throwing Coentrao at us and only paying attention when it was too late to finalise, about 11pm on deadline day. Literally the only two positives I can think of in any way during is time ave been Januzaj getting a shot Ferguson might not have given him and signing Mata (though that was a case of right place, right time than anything to do with Moyes who then completely misused him for most of the remainder of the season).
United should hurry up and sack Moyes so they can get AVB before Barca snatches him up. I think he would do wonders in Manchester.
That's something we haven't seen for a LOOOONG time from yanited supporters... gallows humour. It's part and parcel of being a football supporter IMO. A good bit of humble pie should be eaten from time to time by ALL supporters, regardless of what team they support. It's healthier for the game and a damned sight healthier for the minds of the individual.
By Everton. Was not expecting that. Eenie menie miney moe, catch a Scotsman by his toe, if he cries, let him vote
