http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...Chamakh-says-West-Ham-boss-Sam-Allardyce.html he might be right. if he is, it kind of makes you wonder why we actually signed him in the first place. surely managers should know almost exactly how a player plays best and that's how a manager intends to use that player before they are even signed
TBF he was doing alright when he first arrived, he gets injured, and RVP's form kept him out. After that it might have been confidence and not getting enough minutes, but would you have benched an in form RVP and replaced him with someone who was trying to restart his form in Chamakh?
Sure, Allardyce knows how to get the most out of a talented target man, look at how well Andy Carroll has done.
I dont get why we signed him. Hes perfect for allardyce so hopefully they buy him. If u want a target man nowadays at a good side they need to have multiple strengths not just heading
he wasn't injured. he just got dropped from the starting lineup. that was my point. he was never an out and out scorer, who wenger asked to be an out and out scorer, and he did reasonably well in the circumstances (7 goals, 4 assists in the first 18/19 games). then, without really doing anything wrong, he gets dropped. he played 2 full league games for the rest of the season and in the others he got maybe 20 mins to make an impact. being an impact player never seemed to be his game at all, so wenger asks him to be 2 things he isn't...an out and out scorer and an impact player. what was that all about?
so djourou plays his first game for hannover, a full 90 minutes. they concede 5 goals. is anyone surprised?
I actually watched the West Ham game because I was curious to see how Chamakh would do with enough service. He had some decent opportunities but could not score. That might change but he is far from what we need in a striker.
No, but from what I remember from a few games I had seen at the begining of the season and some from last year, Hannover weren't that great. Did you watch the game Lamb?
i just caught the last 2 goals on highlights, and it was only as the last was scored that i realised which teams i was watching.
Yup, I just read this... http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/emmanuel-frimpong-joins-fulham-on-loan
