Wait...if Al Nasr won the home game 3-1 and lost the away game 4-2 wouldn't they win on away goals?

Saudi Arabian clubs not entering this year. This could be the final nail in the coffin.

With the top 4 sides going to the ACL, this tourney became even less important than it used to.

Yes your right. It killed the Arab Champions League previously and now the GCC in my opinion. Yes, it may carry on in some form, but it's not the same with hardly any member nations playing now.

To carry on, the UAFA or whomever hosts it, must give it a kick up th backside, probably only involving champions, but only played on a knockout basis.

If this was the case we would now have champions of Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Oman, possibly with guest nations such as Yemen and Jordan for example. A short competition, but is worth more in general.

Yeah after what happened with Al Nasr, I don't think Saudi sides will play in the GCC forquite a while.

    More recent results:

    Al Shabab 0:1 Al Salmiya
    Saham 1:1 Al Dhafra
    Kazma 1:0 Dhofar

So, Group A has come down to the wire. Shabab meet Riffa. Shabab need to avoid defeat to go through.

In Group B, Dhafra sit top, but Al if Al Arabi beat Saham they will qualify instead.

Group C see's Kazma through with a game to spare

Group D is a farce with Al Ahli Manama apparently withdrawn from competition. Al Ahli have therefore qualifed after defeating Al Arabi of Kuwait twice.

Al Ahli Dubai are through to the final after holding Kazma of Kuwait to a 1:1 draw in the return leg. They advance 2:1 on aggregate.

Al Arabi of Kuwait face Al Shabab of the UAE tomorrow in the 2nd leg, currently tied 2:2

And so it's an all UAE final, Al Shabab defeating Al Arabi 2:1 today to win 4:3 on aggregate

They meet Al Ahli Dubai in the final.
