It's official now, Marco Pappa and Heerenveen have reached an agreement on the terms to terminate the contract. Rumor is Pappa wil receive $ 950.000 for it.
Marco is a free to sign elsewhere and to prove why Heerenveen/ van Basten was wrong (if they were).

Thanks for providing the amount, I was looking for it and couldn't find it.

Too bad he didn't work out, it could have opened up some doors. Unfortunate that he didn't get more of a chance to prove himself. Good luck to your team, they're doing well.

Sounders are pretty stacked and they have a pretty speedy mid. Adding Pappa to that would just make him a better player and could open another door for him abroad.

Wow, Drogba would be a BEAST out there. And as much as I despise Dempsey he comes from a faster tempo game play, which just means Pappa would be pushed to be a better player. Hopefully a good showing this year could see him back in Europe by next year.

Y el Popol habla inglés pues?

    ...

One of the things I've heard about Marco Pappa is that he has a good attitude. I'm not saying that's the only thing you need, but it certainly helps keep doors open in any aspect of life. you can see that trait of his personality reflected when he is interviewed.

He seems kinda timid to me, uncomfortable in the spotlight. I remember how awkward he looked in those Heerenveen press conference videos. The guy is in his prime now, he's not a young player, I wish he demonstrated more confidence.

Of course the biggest sign that he's not a confident person was turning down Wigan and Valencia to go the "safe" route and "get more playing time" in the Eredivisie. If he had more balls he'd be playing in La Liga or the Championship right now instead of MLS.

I honestly believe that if our NT team were better, Pappa could have left Heverveen and gone to Wigan.

I look at Wilson Palacios and Juan Carlos Garcia from Honduras, Bryan Ruiz and Celso Borges from CR. Who alone, are good club players, BUT are part of winning NT teams.

Anybody know how Pappa is doing at Seattle? I feel like he's gonna have a MONSTER season. Perfect situation with him going to play for one of the best coaches in the league, the best fans in the league and an administration with championship aspirations.

HUGE change from the Chicago Fire who have some of the least knowledgable fans in MLS, a clueless front office and weakening fan support.
