I think it's great. Of course people will bitch that he got this opportunity because of his dad, etc. but how he got there is irrelevant as long as he doesn't disappoint and represents us the best possible way. The interesting part is that it's a new different place for Guatemala futbol to be talked about.

Speaking of different markets, did Jonathan Lopez get his stuff together, or what's the latest?

If Carlos Villa manages to make any noise in the Romanian Super Liga it will definitely be his chance to make the NT for WCQ.

I also haven't heard anything about Jonathan Lopez.

Trust me Popol, he'll make some noise, i've said it before and i'll said it again, Carlos can score, no doubt about that. This is a great opportunity like Cha said and it will only be better for him cause he will be in great shape and he has the advantage that he's tall and agile. Regarding Jonathan, they just working on some last minute things, but is almost a done deal just like that kid Kevin Lam Merida who's also going to Danuvio de Uruguay. So until those two players Jonathan and Kevin stuff is done and ready to go, i will post it in the list of Guatemalans playing abroad.

    Aguante Guate

Se me habia olvidado este jugador que milita en el fútbol de MALTA.

Edison Estrada Sánchez consigue un doblete con su club SK Victoria Wanderers. Scores 2 goals in his team's 3-1 victory.

Very nice quality on his goals. The level of play doesn't look bad at all in that league. But damn, there's like nobody at the games, lol.

What's this guy's story? Where did he play his youth ball at?

And I agree about the level play doesn't look bad.

I believe he came from Heredia.

I just saw on wiki that it's the first season in Romanian 1st Division for Carlos Villa's new club even though they've been around for a long time, that's some exciting stuff right there.

Well if it's near Italy maybe a 2nd division club could pick him up? You never know.

Looking at the standings on FIFA's site they're with three other teams to go into relegation.

You're right, they have 18 games to get their act together. They only have 11 points in 18 games and are 6 points away from the safe zone. They gotta go on a little run to stay up.

Thank you for the video Evolute. What a goal. Lately, Guatemalans in Chile have earned much credit to their country's futbol.
