Responding here not to derail the other thread.

On the flip side, only 2 players on that list have top-flight experience (Salazar, Maltés).

They should give Diego Palma (Mictlán) a shot (18, scored a golazo vs. Municipal a few weeks ago).

I'm wondering if they're still in a "tryout" process with all of these different division players

Anna Martinez is crazy fast, goalie had a good game, and our backline is god awful (as usual) but specifically that central. That chick was getting beat in every highlight.

Wish we would've gotten more than 3 clear chances though. Honduras will kills us Thursday and we'll most likely shoot our selves in the foot for the 3rd and be out.

All of them are beautiful. :)

Being that 3.5 of the 8 teams will go to the world cup, and depending on what the format will be, Costa Rica remains the rival to beat, in order to have any hopes. But Caribbean teams can be a problem too.

This team is still young and although it has been a process and several of the players have a decent amount of experience, their athletic and skill level is still way below of that of Mexico (let's not mention Canada or the US). They already overachieve, given their resources and competitive conditions.

Lost today 0-3 to Costa Rica and failed to qualify to the Pan Am Games, so there's your gauge.

The score says it all when it comes to the rojos defense.

IMO Noriega was at fault for 2 of those goals. The rest of the back line just kept getting beat and marking was bad. Glad to see that they were able to put up 3 goals though, shows that they weren't backing down on the offensive side of the ball.

Pachuca let them play. Their defense is pretty shitty as well. 3rd goal was a goof-up by El Conejo Pérez.

According to LaRed Sopegno has been named the Sub-20 DT. Guillermo Morales will be kept as the assistant coach.

IF this is legit its a great step in the right direction for our countries process.

Titimán Ávila scores a hat-trick with his head.

-I don't think this had ever been done in CCL

-I couldn't tell you who was the last Guatemalan player to do this, in any competition.

I don't mind if he continues to get called up to the NT!

Real España coach might wanna spend a little bit more time in practice going over defending set pieces.

Sounds like the players are pretty serious about getting a players association created. Which SHOULD have happened a long time ago. This will finally give the players a voice
