One defender, two attackers. If that is the case, I guess it would be Allen Yanes, Luis Samayoa, and Paolo Ortiz. Gallardo and Loco Rodriguez are questionable. Other than that, that's pretty much the best we have right now. I like that Fredy Taylor and Edgar Chinchilla are there. They've both been super solid for Xela in the past couple tournaments.
Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of fresh faces, but some of these guys getting their first cap are old as hell. I mean, we're in a rebuilding process. Anyone over 30 years old right now is not realistically gonna be part of the process for 2018. I'm sure these guys had great seasons and are being rewarded, but seriously? Give a chance to someone who's in their mid 20's. By questionable do you mean "why the hell would they pick these guys?" Because if that's the case you should add Manuel Leon to that list. Only thing I like is that they're calling up those standout players from the U-17 squad. And they should've called up Moises Hernandez.
Are the U-17 guys confirmed? I'm only seeing that in tweets and not on any official rosters. Also, on some rosters I'm seeing Kike Miranda of Heredia and on others he's omitted. Is he or isn't he called up?
I like that we got a lot of new players but calling el loco, really, he sucks. Y would you even call players from a team thats at the bottom of the pit, makes no sense. I think monzon should of call more youngsters fron the U20, Galindo I understand that one, hes still on recuperation mode so is good he wasnt call. But y no try calling Cincotta, Cordon, Henry lopez, guys who are playing more but oh well, im just glad we call some of the U17

Looks like the starting backline will be all Cremas, good call. And yes guti, he should've called Cincotta, Cordon, and Hernandez. These are all players who have grown up playing outside of Guate and could help the rest of the NT players by making them step their game up. What's the word on the old guys goldone? Are they even any good?
Santiago Taylor, y Jairo Arreola finalmente no estan, en su lugar estan El Abuelo Morales y Gary Leal de Xela, ademas Rafael Morales tambien salio de la convocatoria por lesion (si Monzon hubiera visto el partido entre Cremas y Leones ni lo hubiera convocado en primera instancia por la lesion) Realmente hay buenos aspectos pero siguen faltando nombres como Sixto Bethancourt/Jose Andrede/ Manuel Moreno (ex sub20 titularisimos en Malacateco) o Lalin de Marquense. Con todo respeto para el Tortilla Hernandez ya no esta para seleccion lo mismo para el abuelo y menos Gary Leal. Ademas Gallardo viene de una lesion y automaticamente es de seleccion? PORFAVOr De contencion estaban Orellana Malacateco, Howell Suchitepequez en lugar de Manuel Leon que es irregular en Xela. De volantes hay otro patojo en Malacateco de 22 creo un tal Rodriguez buen jugador, pero alli lo entiendo por el talento que tenemos en la media. En la delantera El Loco ya NO MAS, alli estaba Wilber Perez de Suchitepequez que lleva 8 goles gran delantero con buena movibilidad, estaba tambien Gonzalez de Malacateco que lleva 6 goles como alternativa. Lo de convocar a Yanez y Samayoa de la sub17 me parece estupendo (parecido a lo que sucedio con Enoc, lopez y del aguila) esperemos que sea para jugar y no sea unicamente para ir a ver los partidos. Enfin un avance pero todavia falta, y definitivamente Monzon no es un buen DT.
I'm wondering if El Loco is being called up only because he played with Ruiz and they're buddies. And the old guys are probably just because they may not be called up ever again, their only shot is to play against Argentina.
That's stupid to bring some old farts, but I guess Monzon wants experience with youth. But I agree Jona Wilber Perez should of been called he's the goal scorer of the league.
