This thread is for preliminary roster announcements followed by speculation on the cuts ahead of the final roster submission. Thirty-man rosters are due May 11th, one of the moderators will open the thread shortly before then and post the rosters if nobody beats them to it. If one of the 4 teams submits a preliminary roster early someone will open the thread early. Feel free to PM a mod to alert them if this happens.

After that, we're sure there will be plenty to talk about until the final rosters are submitted on June 1st.

Thread is closed until the first roster is out. Stay tuned.

    Re: SPAIN preliminary roster

No major surprises on the list although some would say that maybe Palop (Sevilla FC) and Llorente (Villareal) should have been on the prelim list. New players on the list who have never been called up are: De Gea and Valdés in goal, Azpilicueta in defense, Javi Martínez as midfielder and Pedro as a forward.

The team starts their concentration on 24 May in Las Rozas Spain.

    Aupa Espanha!

Toselli is not starter in his club (Universidad Católica), so he will play in the Toulon tournament next week, with our U23 NT.

Marcos Senna, the best player of the 2008 Euro is missing, he should have been in the squad, he brings toughness that Spain will lack against teams like Italy, Germany or Brazil. He should have been on the bench at least, just in case...

    Agreed 100%.
Senna is better than Busquets, Alonso and Martínez.

I've never understand that adjective as a bad quality, actually, many times is necessary a player in a different intensity. I think Valdés could be very useful to the Chilean system, personally, slightly better than Fernández right now.

Pedro and Albiol have switched numbers.

On Wednesday the Spanish team took their official team photo (as noted by MARCA):

I found this alternate photo that has two noticable changes.
Juan Mata (left side) and Jesús Navas (right side) have both moved from sitting in the first row to standing in the second row.
The assistant coaches are also missing.
