It took Dempsey six years in the EPL to have a break out season.....at the age of 29 while Hernandez did it in his first season with a major club. Stupidity aside, how can we possibly compare a 23 year old striker at Man U with a 29 year old attacking midfielder at Fulham?

Wahl should ask himself why Dempsey doesn't carry his EPL performances over to the national team instead of coming off like an idiot with comments like that.

Typical Pom-Pom Journalism from U.S. soccer Media. I've said it before, they try to stay ultra-positive in order to not lose the casual fan. They don't want Joe Schmo to think the U.S. sucks at soccer, so in turn they don't really bash the program.

I find it hysterical that they even mentioned the U.S. youth program. The U.S. recent showings at youth tourneys have been nothing short of humiliating.

the players that the us is picking up are very useful for them but a dime in dozen for the other country they're eligible for.

if they said that dual nationals look to be key contributors it would've been ok, but they go super spazztastic and say they "chose" the us.

they should be glad they're adding some depth and now twisting into something it's not.
