This is a thread dedicated to how the Greek media covers our national team.

The better portion of the media in Greece is lazy, unbold, and, for other reasons permitting, never seems interested in challenging whatever narrative our administrators, coaching staff, and players put out. As far as I can tell, they uncritically reprint whatever our national teams says. Perhaps these journalists are fearful of losing access to the team and players and thus their jobs if they happen to be critical. Others, meanwhile, become friendly with their subjects and lose sight of doing their job objectively. As a consequence, very rarely have we seen any criticism branded against the national team and those who run it, but every so often we find a commentary that so rightly describes the reality that is so plain to see.

In a recent sports editorial, Kostas Kefalogiannis wrote about why you should consider joining him for a beer tomorrow night instead of watching our "boring" national team play in a match of little to no critical importance. At one point, he writes how he can't criticize a player's poor performance without becoming ostracized by the rest of the team. Later in the article, he brands mainline punditry as being common sense talk erroneously passed off as wise analysis.

That article can be read here (<-click). It's not the most insightful article, but it's something.
