Edivaldo Rojas Hermoza (Bolivia) - Only the third game for this Brazilian born player and he's integrated quite well into the midfield. His goal, while lucky, was also unexpected and daring.

There aren't too many surprises on the Chile side, but it was interesting that with Sanchez, Suazo, Fernandez, Vidal, Isla, Medel etc on the field, and with Valdivia and Jimenez on the bench the dude that came in to change the game was Esteban Paredes

Giovanni Dos Santos played a great game yesterday, not much of a surprise given his gold Cup but its a big improvement on his club form

Not one single player has stepped it up and not one single team has done well. Chile and Colombia barely beat sub 22 sides from Concacaf...... come on !!!

Lets hope this 2nd round of games proves to be better.

Adrian Ramos of Colombia. This kid has been beastly so far and no one wanted him on the team. Guarin and Falcao have been our best so far but I want to see them in Porto rape mode come the 2nd round.

the coach insisted and believed on him all along!! is a coach's choice

you miss that for your constant butchering style of comments - when it comes to our national team.

Whoever the other defensive mid for Colombia was. Not Abel Aguilar though he was good, too.

    Completely shut down Argentina's middle.

Um not winning games not scoring goals when you have one of the best strikers in europe and not trying to score = not playing well. We were better than Argentina but our idiot coach didn't want to attack. He used subs that could have killed Argentina off and left them on the bench to just put in guys to waste time.

means there was a hell of a goal keeper at front of the whole team.

do not try to read bejond that, futbol is not that complicated, specillay facing one of thes squads in the world.

8 clear chance-oportunities as the visitor side is not a bad balance.

What goalie has Colombia faced that we don't make into a Oliver Kahn. Seriously if anyone wants your goalie to go to a top team in europe you should schedule a friendly against Colombia. He will have at least 4 saves because we just shoot it directly at him the whole time.
