I've just realized that if anything supposedly happened before mastershake was born (other than Hayek and Ayn Rand having written something) then it never happened. Explains a lot. In his 3 years of political cognizance obviously Obama is the most evil President we have ever had.

No, see, I don't think I know everything, and am willing to consider additional information. You might want to try that.

What is the false part? Please explain.

That's your defense? Ok, run with that moral high ground.

I do with people who present additional information.

    The whole thing.

You really are stupid, aren't you? The concept of perspective completely eludes you. Tell me, do you think the sun is as close to you as the building it's on top of?

So, in short, you don't understand who Nixon is. OK, I got it. You can move on now. The notion that Obama is more evil than Nixon has a technical term. That term is "stupid".

Nixon ordered the deaths on tens of thousands of American teenagers. I am old enough to remember my draft #. And he STARTED the war on drugs; it was NIXON"S idea! His Veep ws indicted and had to resign. Nixon vastly escalated the Viet Nam war, until in 1973 he just quit it.

Nixon resigned in disgrace because he got caught in numerous crimes; while he was president. Seriously, find a different argument. I don't know how you compare "evilness" of two different people, but Barrack Obama is a saint compared to Richard Nixon on just about any scale.

Was Shakey the one who also said he wasn't concerned about the obviously socialist state universities because they were established before he was born?

I used to think he was someone who had a goofy POV because he was passionate about a few specific issues. I'm beginning to realize, and don't take this the wrong way Shakes, that he's kind of an idiot and a douchebag.
But you're forgetting that this happened before Shakes was born. It might as well be fiction.

Not defending the guy but his environmental and labor relations record destroys Obama's.

Well of course it does...all that evidence you cited lending credence to your argument just shreds any doubt in my mind!

Laugh it up chump. Nixon also normalized relations with China. When was the last time Obama did that?

He did a lot of good environmentally but he also screwed NOAA (a huge agency) for pettiness. Nixon was furious when his interior secretary, the politically volatile Wally Hickel, took aim at the Administration's Vietnam War policy. So Nixon punished him by not making the newly created NOAA part of the Interior Department, which already housed the U.S. Geological Survey.

Mostly because there was no real enforcement power to environmental regs before that

Don't take this the wrong way, but you are ... nope, I'm taking the high road.

How should one be "concerned" about state universities exactly.

Listen, if you want to defend Obama, that's awesome. Go right ahead.

    '
Exactly. History started on the date of my birth.

He did do well in regard to China. But that wage/price freeze would be a little big government for today's GOP.

Of course it's awesome. Everyone should defend Obama vis a vis Nixon. Unless you had government contracts for Agent Orange, I suppose.

So, how would you rate Obama's evilness vs. Bush 41, Clinton, and Bush 43?

And I'd like your expert opinion on Obama's position on targeted killings. You said I'm completely wrong. Care to back that up?

And by the end of his administration, Nixon had largely abandoned the environmental views that had lead to the creation of the EPA.

We are, supposedly, at war with an amourphous enemy that mixes with civilians and acts without a nation state sponsor and Obama is C-I-C. Each President has ordered a few deaths, some many. I know you didn't ask me, but I can live with a little targeted killing. Barrack did get Osama with a targeted attack (whom Bush / Cheney let go and then airlifted the family out of the US. I still, cannot believe that actually happened, but it did).

BTW, are you talking about that drone hit in Yemen of the kid who was born in Denver? Who moved back to Yemen to take up the family terrrorist business? Is this what the right has its undies in a bunch about these days? "Cause that seems a little moonbatty to me.

Read those first three sentences again and think about that.

    a) I'm not a right-winger.

    b) Yes, that is what I'm referring to.

    c) You don't seem dumb to me, so you know we have a legal system and all, where if someone is accused of a crime, we have a process that government is supposed to follow. I am pretty sure the first step in that process is not "drop bomb on someone's head". And let's say this guy was a scum bag. What about the next one? Are you ok giving that power to the next Richard Nixon who becomes President?

I don't have to give the C-I-C the power; he already has it. Because in addition to a legal system we have a military. I am basically a peace activist, but I do understand some people really are out to get us. I am okay with reasonable defence of the US. Things like Viet Nam, or the Iraq invasion are much, much worse to me.
