KTCK 1310 in Dallas revolutionized sports talk radio around the nation. Very funny stuff. You can stream it at http://www.theticket.com/.

www.wpkn.org - WPKN - Independent radio from Bridgeport, CT.

Some things on it will drive you absolutely up the wall, and some things on it are really very good.

I agree with GringoTex, The Ticket is as addictive as Bigsoccer.

Not being from Dallas or ever having listened to it, can you explain the "revolution" you refer to them creating?

The Ticket is a personality based station. The discussion is not limited to sports, a more accurate discription would a guys station than a sports station. The host may spend as much time talking about the concert they went to last night as the Mavs game. The ratings for the station are huge The Hardline gets over 10% of the most coveted demographic(males 18-50) in the no. 6 media market.

maybe this link can tell you more than I can

The "revolution" has in a way been validated by ESPN. ESPN radio has in the last month hired The Ticket's program director to be the general manager of the entire ESPN radio network.

What Dirk said. Plus, it's not caller-driven. They even keep their guests to a minimum.

They once gave Barry Switzer his own stream-of-consciousness show: 15 minutes a week of nonstop Oklahoma bullshit. Best radio I ever heard.

No, but it's fun listening to it anyway, makes a change from constant football talk.

Is it something to do with baseball ?
