I'm heading down to the Gold Cup final on Sunday. But first I have to stop at OHare to pick up my nephew. His flight gets in at noon.

What would be the best, quickest way to get to Soldier Field.
Mapquest has me going straight down I-90, hooking up with 94 and exiting at eight Congress (I-290) or Roosevelt.

Would I be better off taking 294 south to I-55 and taking that down to Lake Shore Drive?
Will the Sox/Cubs give me traffic troubles?

I'd really like to get to the Waldron parking area, but by the time we get there, I'm sure it'll be full.

    Any suggestions would be great.

We'll be in section 121, standing and singing.

If you take I-90 downtown, I always found it quicker to go past I-290 and take I-55 north. This will merge you with Lake Shore Drive just south of Soldier Field.
