I doubt he will want to go further in this Giro with the stitches in the ankle.

Phinney really dropped. I should stop watching this, because all it's doing is making me want to buy a new bike that I don't need.
From Garmin: Update: Tyler Farrar crashed and was taken to the hospital in Jensi via ambulance with our team doctor, where he was evaluated. He suffered multiple lacerations to his hand and numerous abrasions. According to our team doctor Shannon Sovndal, he also suffered a laceration to a superficial artery in the back of his left hand. Preliminary x-rays show no fractures and exam didn't reveal any tendon injury. His wounds have been treated and he is enroute back to the team hotel.

Really thrilled for Ryder. If Garmin is serious about putting him on the top step in Rome, they'd be wise to let him give up the maglia rosa for a few days.
Kreuziger takes the stage, Ryder next...let's see how much time he gets on the others. Not confirmed but it looks like Rodriguez loses 11-15 seconds to Ryder today. Basso loses around 30.
Garmin and Liquigas are riding alongside each other. This is the biggest day in the history of the Garmin team. If Hesjedal can hold on he'll win the Giro. The Mortirolo is perhaps the biggest test for him, if he can hold things together on that climb he should make it through the stage.
De Gendt takes the stage...now the clock. De Gendt has really blown this thing up. Going to be exciting for the TT tomorrow.
I think I had several heart attacks watching all of them climb today, but De Gendt was brilliant. Wonder how much he will have left in the tank for tomorrow? Sean Kelly was right in that they (Ryder and Rodriquez) would bring the stage gap about a minute a half.
