Wouldn't be surprised if he stays. Really, its what I am expecting. Think about it if you were Gio, really think about being in his shoes. I'm sure the coach is saying he is going to get minutes if he stays. Your other option is to go to a team that already had pre season, is already playing in the league, uncertain about minutes at this club, and on top of all that you have to move to a new place. Just saying, its not as easy as we make it out to be because we just have to say "Transfer!" Which brings up the question as to why is the transfer window open so late? It should close a week before league play starts. I would think it makes it hard to transfer while the season has already started.
If the are promising him minutes maybe he should stay and wait until his contract expires, then he can transfer to any team he pleases for free. 1 more day until the transfer season is over.
I that this point he is just better off staying with Tottenham and signing with whoever he wishes on a free transfer six months before his current deal ends. It's unfortunate that he will go another year with barely any playing time but at least more teams will be willing to sign him in a few months as he won't cost his new team anything.
Malaga got a good draw in the CL, I'd rather him go there. In any case like others have said it's almost a certainty that he'll stay six months in leave for free.
*Phew* I see Malaga prefer quantity over quality. What a sh!t club. Now which one one of you really wants to see Gio @ Mallorca?

Wow. Guy never catches a break. If he would have declined the Olympics he probably would be in Spurs gameday roster already. Tough luck for one of the few that is proud to play for Mexico (see Vela and Jona). I assume this is another injury. Its tough to transfer when you are injured.
serio dude gives it his all for la seleccion. He deserves to be on a team that gives him constant playing time.
Yeah it sucks that he will miss the qualifiers but im sure he has NO regrets about helping Mexico get its first ever olympic gold medal. He is already at such a young age the most decorated Mexican player ever (national team wise). El Tri should be fine for the two games he'll miss.
Confirmed: 9m RCD Mallorca @RCD_Mallorca Oficial: El #Mallorca llega a un acuerdo con el Tottenham para la contratación de Giovani Dos Santos @OficialGio para próximas 4 temporadas
Ya para que dejen de llorar todos, actually no now the crying will be cause its a shit club and he could've done much better. Good for him
I'm just happy he is out of there, so happy, don't matter where he goes actually anything was better than that. Maybe that'll influence his little brother to leave his pride behind hopefully.....
