However in his quote considering he does not rate Gio there is a possibility he will be let go still.

"We won't be selling any of our best players. If we're going to do anything we'll be adding to the squad - we won't weaken the squad at all. That's the message from both myself and the chairman. People who aren't in the squad are disappointed but we're going to need the squad."

If they look like him, I doubt it.

Agree. Letting Gio go couldn't possibly make the team weaker when he doesn't even play. Hopefully Gio is gone this transfer window.

    Doesn't that apply to Gio?

I doubt it, since Harry doesn't consider Giovani as first backup for any position.
He can't sell Pavlyuchenko without having a replacement lined up,
but he got Krancjar, Pienaar etc. as backup for the wide positions,
and Defoe if VDV is out. If a reasonable offer comes in for Giovani he'll be sold.

Reasonable offers for a player who is not in Redknapp's plans, and who never plays came in, and they still didn't sell him. Who knows if they will sell him this winter.

How much did they buy him for from Barcelona? It seems to me that they want to make their money back plus all his wages for the last few years.

They don't play him, but they want to sell him at 15(?) million to recover what they spent? Good luck with that.

that's almost more insulting than no playing time at all. he's done that several times this year.

what I would give to see Gio walk up to RedKrapp at the time of the sub reach his hand back and give him a full on backhanded pimpslap

He's probably never play again if he did that. Not that I don't want someone to do that to 'Arry.

Hopefully he can GTFO of Tottenham ASAP. It's obvious that AT BEST, he'd be playing a secondary role there (late sub, Europa league, Carling Cup, etc...)

Looking forward to this Gio was incredible last game against Shamrock Rovers, can Tottenham still qualify from their group?
