I thought it was £2.5mm for 50% rights. So it's like $4mm or so usd.

 

On nbc it says £1 mill. All over twitter too.

I disagree. I think he should have stayed in Real Salt lake, and finish out the season; they will miss him.

I like this move, only Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Valencia allowed less goals last season. Hopefully Gio gives them that much needed offensive spark.

Also, this was asked by someone else but never answered: Anyone know how long Gio will be out? Will he be good for next week versus Osasuna? The play Sociedad today.

 

Last report said he would be out three weeks, which was about a week ago... so two weeks give or take.

Tranfermrkt has him as 800K pounds, 1 million Euros.

That converts to 1.26 million USD.

 

Would've been great if Ayala had joined him at Mallorca. Maybe eventually.

 

I feel bad rooting against Vela's team but Gio is more important to the national team. So with that said 1-0 Mallorca !!

 

Mallorca without Gio > RS with Vela.

I am liking their Euro chances.

Presentation of Giovani Dos Santos
At 7pm on Monday, the Mexican footballer Giovanni Dos Santos will be presented to the Mallorca fans at the Iberostar Stadium. There will be a press conference at 6.30pm.

 

Mallorca fans are in for a real treat.

 

Can't believe they paid so little for him...even if it is just half the rights..wasn't udinese offering 13 mil pounds a year ago? something doesn't sound right...but glad the nightmare finally ended.

 

His contract expires soon, so that drives down price a lot.
