Not the only one. Should have stayed with Fulham for the last year. Probably would have got some playing time if not for his big mouth about not wanting to be there. I know he had issues with that club but he would have fit in well with AVB system.

LMAO at those who thought Gio was going to sign for a "big" team....

Gio needs to prove himself all over again and Mallorca is a perfect fit for him.

Careful, projecting your dreams and delusions onto another's career is bad for your mental health.

I don't recall anyone ever saying he was going to go to a big team.

so why are people disappointed then?

If signing for a mid table spanish club after not playing for four years at Tottenham is disappointing, you gotta wonder what some of these people expected...

A mid table Premier League club?
A mid table Ligue 1 club?
A mid table Serie A club?

    entonces?

Because if reports of AVB promising Gio minutes were true, staying at Tottenham would not have been a bad thing. Regardless of if he played well or not, the season would have ended with him being able to sign for any team that wanted him.

I think he will probably have a better opportunity of shining at Mallorca though. He finally got his move to Spain. No more excuses.

Gio should be Mallorca's knight in shining armor like Vela was to RS last season.

Mallorca finished 8th without Gio, RS finished 12 with Vela.

Hopefully Mallorca get in Euro, everybody is gonna move up one spot with Malaga no longer really a threat to make Euro comps, atleast IMO.
