Maybe he's improved, but from what I saw in the U20s and U23s he wouldn't be a top player on any MLS teams except maybe Chivas and the other bottom dwellars.
Gyau's goal (which was pretty damn easy) can be found at the 9:03 mark -> http://www.socceroverthere.com/?p=15051
If you look at 5:45 you see Wooten involved in the first goal for Kaiserslautern. Ball pops up and he muscles off the defender and tries to swing around and take a shot buy misses the bouncing ball which falls to another player who puts it into the back of the net.
According to @SoccerInsider Gyau scored his 5th goal for Hoffenheim ll today. Should really look to get a loan some where in January
New interview with Joe. http://www.goal.com/en-us/news/1614...ldnt-see-myself-leaving-germany-any-time-soon "I couldn't see myself leaving Germany any time soon," Gyau told Goal.
Pointless update: He has 5 goals in 18 games (17 starts) for Hoffenheim II in their first 19 games. Next game is at the end of February.
Where does that rank him within that squad? Does it push him to gain first team appearances with Hoffenheim in the bundeliga? Any loans rumors?
I don't think he ever played in the mls so it wouldn't really be going back. Seeing as he isn't in JK's plays for the World Cup staying another year and trying to break into their first team is probably the best bet as he is still only 21. But if by this time next year he can't get out of their second team then he needs to move on.
Sorry. I usually always say come "back" to MLS referring to coming "back" home to America. I should probably be more careful.
He could move on now. Gyau hasn't made the bench even once this season, and he hasn't been in winter camp with the first team. He's obviously not among their first 25 or 30 players; they aren't really interested in him anymore. He's just a Regionalliga player for Hoffenheim II now, that's it.
I wouldn't have a problem with him moving on now but only if its the right move. My point is he should rush to get away just to leave he's only 21.
That seems pretty old for a prospect, especially if his team sees him as nothing more than a reserve team roster filler. They're likely focusing on younger players with more potential, so it might just not be the right kind of environment for him right now. He got some decent minutes for St. Pauli, so he could maybe stay in Germany and drop down a level and move up that way. I think it'd be cool to see him come to MLS too.
Maybe but he still seems to think he has a shot so waiting a little longer isn't too big of a deal but I'm not against him moving. If it's to the right place.
Gyau went 90 min for Hoffenheim II today in 3-0 loss. http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...rs-offenbach-120_1899-hoffenheim-ii-5464.html
He had an assist for Hoffenheim II vs. Eintracht Frankfurt II back on 12/1/13- http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/t...-frankfurt-ii/index/spielbericht_2327455.html
The Regionalliga Südwest highlight show was finally put online so we can finally see a clip of his goal from earlier this week (around the 5:20 mark) -> http://www.socceroverthere.com/?p=16123
I wish he'd come to MLS, but I'm only saying that because I'd like to actually see him play. The German second division may well be his level right now, but seeing him week in and week out in America would be cool too. If he's producing at a high level he'll get noticed, whether he's in Europe or MLS.
