Bilyaletdinov was at least in Everton's starting squad this past game.

He got subbed right before the hour mark though.

Izmailov missed Sporting's game today and has once again complained about his left knee, raising fears that he might need another serious operation.

Very good player when fit, but the poor sap can't stay on the field for more than 2-3 games at a time. :(

Yeah he seems to be happy in Portugal and enjoying his football as well, so I'd like to see him stay fit for a couple of years even if he never gets back into the NT picture.

And BTW, Sporting poses absolutely no threat to Benfica & Porto for the title, so I do root for the guy.

Izmailov had successful surgery on his right knee today, no news yet on exactly how long he'll be out.

Oleksandr Yakovenko signed a 3 year dead with an Italian club (reports suggest it's Fiorentina).

Should be a good step up for him. He has sat in the Belgian League for too long.

This will make him the 4th (I might be wrong) Ukrainian to play in the Serie A after Zavarov, Mykhaylychenko and Sheva.

How did he get a move to Fiorentina if he sat on the bench in Belgium?

How could he sign with them if its not in the transfer window?

I just looked and he has 7 goals in 20 games for Anderlecht this season, having a great year so far. Would be awesome if he goes to Fiorentina, nice little movement they started there this season.

He can sign with them. His contract ends at the end of this season with Anderlecht. Players can sign new contracts with teams I think 6 months before their current contract ends. Meaning he's leaving Anderlecht on a free transfer at the end of the season.

It's pretty much confirmed. Yakovenko will be in Fiorentina next season. I might watch a bit of Serie A next season :p now. Btw Neustadter already made an appearance for German NT so he isn't a possible candidate anymore.
