Gerson Mayen at Chivas USA

Mayen was again available for selection on the bench in last night's US Open Cup play-in match vs Portland, but did not play.

Chivas USA lost 2-0.

Next match for them is Saturday at 1 PM Eastern/11 AM El Salvador Time at Toronto.

Mayen entered the match last Saturday as a substitute in the 67th minute of play. Game ended 1-1.

To Hugo Alvarado, make sure - AND THIS IS IMPERATIVE - to send a little note to the FESFUT indicating that , if they called Mayen to represent El Salvador at a NT level, that they need to send a letter of Nationality Representation Change/Transfer to USsoccer on behalf of Mayen, WE ALL KNOW AND I AM SURE THAT FESFUT/CESEN know that Geson Mayen has played for the US Under 20 NT. You and I both know how lazy, irresponsible and INEPT those representatives "ARE" errr can be.
We don't need another mishap a-la Dustin Corea.

Paperwork getting fixed for Mayen. D. Corea be getting his soon fixed soon if he answers the Federation back soon. This might be a hard decision for him since he could probably still be mad with the Federation after what happen between El Salvador sub team & him. So their might be a chance he might stick with the USA side.

Mayen did not play in today's match vs San Jose. Chivas USA won 2-1.

So Mayen ended up playing in the reserves match between Chivas USA and San Jose (Guess it took place after the 1st teamers/League Match)...Mayen started and played the whole match. He was issued a yellow card in the 59th minute of play. They lost 3-1.

As far as the reserve league goes, this was his 2nd start/full 90 minute match.

Next match for Chivas USA as far as Offical League Match goes, April 30th at 10:30 PM Eastern/8:30 PM El Salvador Time.

Next match for the reserve side is on May 3rd vs Galaxy.

He was dangerous throughout the match, showing crisp passing that created numerous scoring opportunities for the Rojiblancos and proving why he remains an option in the Rojiblancos’ packed midfield. "He was good, he shows a lot of inventiveness, he's got a lot of ideas," Chivas USA Head Coach Robin Fraser said. "I thought he did a good job today..."
