German trial for Brendan King

But Borussia II probably does have some attacking talent in the pipeline.

Right, I don't think he would have any chance to get some minutes in the first team. Their current project is Mario Götze (18), the attacking midfielder and arguably best player of Germany's U17 Euro champs, who is looking better than Özil at the same age; and there are some other talented players in their offense coming up.

Brendan was drafted by Portland but then released. It seems he turned up in Ireland last month on trial at Shamrock Rovers:

In the second match, he played against Jamie Duffy, of Boulevard fame.

Seems an apt place for a kid from Notre Dame to start his career.
