we really seem to have italy's number at youth level...in the last year to 18 months germany knocked italy out of the euro under 17's,19's and 21's and off the top of my head also had 5-0, 4-1 and 1-0 victories in friendlies...in this time i dont recall a single draw with them let alone an italian win.

They struggled at Hertha, that's all I know. Filip was invited once to a German camp but that's long ago and I think it was only a B-camp too.

Thanks. The team was only made up of players who didn't play in the U17 Euro or World Cup. In fact, 15 players never played for Germany before. Which is not surprising, considering the fact that players from Victoria Köln are included this time LOL

Ein Youngster mit einer Blitzkarriere bei den Profis

Die Geschichte der Familie Kroos aus dem Greifswalder Stadtteil Schönwalde ist die Story einer erfolgreichen Mecklenburger Sportlerfamilie. Vater Roland war ein bekannter Ringer in der Wrestling-Hochburg Luckenwalde und heute ist er ein erfolgreicher Trainer der B-Junioren des F.C. Hansa in der Fußball-Bundesliga. Mama Birgit war zu DDR-Zeiten Meisterin im Badminton und arbeitet heute an der Sporteliteschule Heinrich-Schütz als Lehrerin.

Schon in Greifswald lebten die Eltern auch für den Sport ihrer Kinder. Dazu gehörte auch 2002 der Wohn- und Vereinswechsel der Familie vom SV 04 zum F.C. Hansa, von der Universitätsstadt Greifswald in die Hansestadt Rostock.

Sohn Toni avancierte hier als C-Jugendlicher schnell zum umworbenem Talent in- und ausländischer Großklubs. Arsenal wollte ihn, Anfragen aus Manchester und von Chelsea kamen, der FC Bayern, der VfB Stuttgart und Werder Bremen jagten den Blondschopf, der schnell zum DFB-Jugendnationalspieler wurde. Am Ende schnappte sich der Münchner Nobelklub das Talent. Toni spielte für Deutschland eine gute U-18 EM in Luxemburg, Toni war der Star der Jugend-WM (U19) in Südkorea. Am Ende wurde der Junge sogar von der FIFA als bester Nachwuchsfußballer der Welt 2007 ausgezeichnet. Nun warten alle nur noch darauf, dass das Supertalent Stammspieler bei Bayern und Nationalspieler für Deutschland wird. Momentan ist er bei Bayer Leverkusen „geparkt“.

Sohn Felix ist das Nesthäkchen der Familie. Auch der Stürmer begann bei den C-Junioren des F.C. Hansa, auch er wurde schnell Jugendnationalspieler. Auch er lebt für den Sport und arbeitet an einer ebenso erfolgreichen Karriere.

Der Unterschied zwischen Toni und Felix: Toni kickt schon bei jetzt bei Bayer Leverkusen, Felix in Rostock. Toni hat den Durchbruch in den Profifußball schon geschafft. Felix ist auf dem Weg, seinem Bruder zu folgen.

Während die Bayern im Einvernehmen mit dem F.C. Hansa und den Eltern Toni „vom Markt“ kauften, sieht das Modell „Felix“ anders aus. Verein und Familie schnürten ein heimisches Erfolgspaket, das es in dieser Art für ein Mecklenburger Talent an der Küste noch nie gegeben hat. In Absprache zwischen Profi- und Nachwuchsabteilung sowie den Eltern wurde ein Plan erstellt, der die Entwicklung des talentierten Stürmers forcieren soll.

Felix wurde im Sommer 2008 erst zum Training in den Amateurbereich „abgestellt“, dann im Herbst in den Spielbetrieb der Regionalliga-Mannschaft eingegliedert. Am Ende des Jahres bat der damalige Cheftrainer Frank Pagelsdorf den Amateurspieler einmal die Woche zum Training mit den Profis. Pagelsdorfs Nachfolger Dieter Eilts, als einstiger U21-Trainer des DFB und Verfechter junger Talente, gliederte Felix schließlich noch vor seinem 18. Lebensjahr in die Lizenzmannschaft des Zweitligisten F.C. Hansa Rostock ein. Eilts hatte im August 2008 Toni schon mit 18 Jahren in die deutsche „U21“ geholt…

Der „neue Weg“ mit dem Talent Felix Kroos passte auch in sofern, da Felix im Frühjahr im Begriff war, die 12. Klasse am Sportgymnasium CJD zu beenden und er sich nach dem Abschluss seither voll auf den Fußball konzentrieren konnte.

Spieler wie Jörg Hahnel und Enrico Kern nahmen ihn mittlerweile in ihre Obhut und machten ihm damit die Integration in der Profi-Mannschaft im und am Spielfeld so leicht es ging. Auf dem Trainingsplatz und in den Pflichtspielen freilich liegt es jetzt an Felix Kroos selbst, wie schnell und wann aus „Hänschen ein Hans“ für Hansa wird. Sprich: Ob der Lehrling den Sprung vom Gesellen zum Meister schafft. Bislang hat der Junior sowohl das härte Training, das schnelle Spiel und den Wechsel von den Junioren zu den Männern unproblematisch verkraftet und kann auch in Tempo und Technik mithalten. Was noch ein wenig fehlt, ist Kraft und Durchsetzungsvermögen.

Das Gute in dieser Familien-Geschichte: Felix schwärmt zwar als junger Kicker von dem englischer Superstar Wayne Rooney und dessen Meisterteam Manchester United, aber in der Realität möchte er einmal so werden wie sein Vorbild Ulf Kirsten und sein Bruder Toni.

Wer nun Bruderzwist zwischen Toni und Felix, Neid oder Missgunst zwischen den Jungs vermutet, den muss Vater Roland enttäuschen. Zwischen beide passt kein Blatt Papier. Jeder geht zwar seinen eigenen Weg, aber jeder wünscht dem anderen nur das Beste und über Erfolge des Einzelnen freut man sich am Ende gemeinsam. Das tägliche Telefonat ist dabei zwischen den Jungs so obligatorisch wie der gerade beendete gemeinsame Urlaub oder die gemeinsamem Familienfeiern an der Küste.

Vater Roland freut es: „Ich habe das sehr genau beobachtet. Es gab da nie Probleme. Natürlich verfolgt Felix die Entwicklung seines Bruders. Aber es ist mehr Stolz statt Neid. Beide verstehen sich seit ihrer Kindheit sehr gut, haben viele Jahre in einer Mannschaft gespielt. Felix schaut genau auf die Entwicklung von Toni – und hat schon etwas Witterung aufgenommen. Aber andererseits hat er sich selbst zum Jugendnationalspieler des DFB entwickelt und arbeitet jetzt an seiner eigenen Karriere.“

Insider sagen, Toni und Felix haben die Kraft-Gene vom Vater als einstigen Ringer und das Koordinationsvermögen von der Mutter als einstiger Badminton-Spielerin. Aber darüber lacht Roland dann nur: „Ich habe mit beiden Jungs in frühester Jugend sehr viel geübt. Da gibt es aber keine Geheimnisse. Auch jetzt noch machen beide unter der Woche einfach fleißig Sondertraining. Das schult natürlich.“

Im Zachhuber-Team ist Felix jedenfalls angekommen. Als Juniorenspieler absolvierte Kroos immerhin schon acht Spiele in der Regionalliga (1 Tor) und durfte bei den Profis in 16 Spielen ran. Auch wenn er beim Zweitligisten noch seinem ersten Treffer hinterher läuft, er sagt zu Recht: „Ich bin in der abgelaufenen Saison schon weiter gekommen, als ich habe hoffen dürfen…“

Peter Mihajlovic aus Greifswald: Verfolgst Du das aktuelle Geschehen um den Greifswalder SV 04 und hast Du noch Kontakt?
Ich bin zwar noch manchmal in Greifswald, weil ich dort Verwandte habe. Aber zum GSV gibt es praktisch keinen Kontakt. Ich hatte ja auch nur beim Greifswalder SC gespielt und im neuen Verein ist heute kaum noch jemand von früher.

Robin Swoboda aus Stolpen: Wie hast Du es zum Fußball-Profi geschafft?
Mein Vater war von Anfang an mein Trainer, da drehte sich natürlich alles um Fußball. Dem habe ich auch vieles andere untergeordnet, mein Leben voll dem Fußball gewidmet.

Sebastian Küchler aus Rehna: Wie bist Du zum F.C. Hansa gekommen?
Als ich elf Jahre alt war, sind wir nach Rostock gezogen. Mein Vater wurde Trainer bei Hansa, mein großer Bruder und ich spielten im Nachwuchs.

Felix Gräfe aus Vetschau: Wie war das Gefühl, als Du zum ersten Mal das Nationaltrikot getragen hast?
Das war was ganz Besonderes. Bei den Nationalmannschaften ist alles noch etwas größer als im Verein. Und es war nicht nur beim ersten Mal, sondern jedes Mal ein schönes Gefühl.

Miriam Weber aus Greifswald: Hast Du eine Freundin oder bist Du verliebt?
Nein. Aber ich halte die Augen offen und lasse es auf mich zukommen.

Mathias Knauer aus Prenzlau: Nervt es Dich manchmal, mit Deinem Bruder Toni verglichen zu werden?
Nein, überhaupt nicht, damit habe ich keine Probleme.

Tom Hoffmann aus Ludwigslust: Hast Du oft Kontakt zu Toni und fragt er Dich, wie es bei Hansa läuft?
Wir haben ein sehr gutes Verhältnis und telefonieren täglich. Über Hansa wird aber nicht so viel geredet. Toni war ja auch nur relativ kurz hier in Rostock und ist ja schon sehr jung zu den Bayern gewechselt.

Rica Tieze aus Rostock: Würdest Du gerne mit Deinem Bruder in einem Team spielen?
Im Nachwuchs haben wir ja teilweise schon zusammen gespielt. Ich könnte mir das auch später wieder vorstellen. Doch vorher würde ich gern einmal gegen ihn spielen. Vielleicht gibt es diese Chance ja mal im Pokal.

Martin Schubert aus Aalen: Wer von Euch Brüdern ist der bessere Fußballer und was unterscheidet Euch?
Wir spielen ja auf verschiedenen Positionen und Toni ist durch seine größere Erfahrung schon etwas weiter und vor allem durch seine guten Standards auch torgefährlicher. Im Moment kann ich mir noch einiges bei ihm abschauen.

Dirk Armack aus Rostock: Wann platzt bei Dir der Knoten?
Das ist schwer zu sagen. Ich werde weiter hart trainieren und irgendwann kommt der Zeitpunkt. Ein bisschen Glück gehört auch dazu, manchmal läuft es gleich besser, wenn man das erste Tor gemacht hat.

Anne Hoth aus Rostock: Wie ist es für Dich, momentan nicht so oft zu spielen?
Ich akzeptiere das und wir haben die Entscheidung, dass ich in der zweiten Mannschaft Spielpraxis sammeln soll, auch gemeinsam getroffen. Ich bin überzeugt, dass ich bald wieder meine Chance bekomme.

Janine Rummel aus Zerbst: Bleibst Du dem F.C. Hansa treu, wenn er weiterhin nur in der 2. Liga spielt?
Es ist mein Wunsch, irgendwann mal in der 1. Liga zu spielen. Aber jetzt kann man natürlich noch nicht sagen, was in ein paar Jahren sein wird. Aktuell ist schon die 2. Liga für mich überragend, vor allem auch vor dem Hintergrund, dass ich ja noch bei den A-Junioren spielen könnte.

Florian Felke aus Halle: Könntest Du als Talent aus der eigenen Jugend bei Hansa vielleicht zur Identifikationsfigur werden wie Manuel Neuer auf Schalke oder Lukas Podolski in Köln?
Vorstellen könnte ich mir das schon, aber das lässt sich zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt nur schwer vorhersagen und hängt auch von der Perspektive ab.

Jana Miske aus Bad Doberan: Du hast am gleichen Tag wie Enno Kern Geburtstag. Werdet ihr der Mannschaft zusammen einen ausgeben?
Das kann gut sein, aber darüber haben wir uns jetzt noch keine Gedanken gemacht, es vergehen ja noch ein paar Wochen. In der Vorsaison fiel unser Geburtstag ja gerade in jene Phase, wo wir wahrlich keinen Anlass zum Feiern hatten. Ich hoffe, das sieht diesmal anders aus.

Felix Kroos was seen as a huge talent. May not be as high profile as his brother, but he certainly has the talent. Some scouts actually rate him as high as other strikers such as Sukuta-Pasu, Terrazzino, Lennart Thy, Testroet and Ginczek

Too bad he is currently struggling in Rostock and failed to score even if he has been given the match practices in the 2BL. Now, he is back in the Rostock II and still cannot do quite as good as we all have expected.

He plays at SS/CF, and we should be more patient and tolerate since he is just 18 and some of the Rostock fans are expecting too much from him, while it usually takes a while for young forwards to adapt the professional football.

Captain and top scorer for the U16, U17 and U18 NTs, was a transfer target of Bayern Munich and Real Madrid (!)....has good vision, creativity, technique and versatility. He certainly have to improve his finishing and off-the-ball movement, but i think the rediculous expection from the Rostock fans is giving him too much pressure; and compairng him to Toni Kroos doesn't help either

If he can't handle it well, he may well be another Manuel Fischer. But he may not have the attitude problem as Manuel Fischr has.
