He is....Götze may have been able to match him if he had developed further over the last two or three months.

And please don't ever name Bender and Kehl..... noname players high ten. They all 3 almost never played for the national team and are often injured. I am sure they won't
    play at all....

Bender is a great prospect. I see him probably a starter in 2014. Kehl has performed respectably for the NT when given the chance, but at this point there is too much talent in the position for him to come back in the NT. Between him and S. Rolfes though, i would prefer Kehl just because he seems to be in a better shape at the moment.,

Rolfes and Kehl would only bring experience, and I don't think we need it to be honest with what Khedira and Schweini bring to the table in the roles of "double 6". Kroos, Lars and Sven Bender, Gundogan and even Leitner all have a great future in those positions in the long run. And like Kroos, Gundogan and Leitner canb even move up to the AM positions.
Needles to say, we should be all set in the midfield as far as options go for quite some time.

    Amazing...

I feel a little bad for Koeln. The players look like they have all but checked out already.

It looks like Sven Bender's stock is falling as fast as Paris Hilton's underpants.

I like Kroos, Schweinsteiger and Khedira. But I think Khedira is the only "destroyer" type among the 3, cant really say he's a #6 anyway. He tackles hard, is very mobile and has high work-rate, but he is not a Roy Keane/Paul Ince type defensive anchor

Kroos, Gundogan, Leitner and Lars Bender arent typical "destroyer" type #6 either. I dunno who is a better option out there

Sven Bender has just started playing again after a couple serious injuries, includng a broken jaw. You can't count him out because of a couple poor minutes in his last two matches.

What is up with the nonsensical Bender posts?

He was superb leading up to his injury.

Happy for Reus goal who I still maintain is the player of the season and should get the honors.

Yea I don't get that comment. The only troubling thing about him are his reoccurring injuries, thats about it.

What a phenomenal job Klopp is doing at Dortmund. I am not talking about Dortmund retaining the title which is no small thing but how they are producing great players in the process. Last year it was Nuri Sahin and Mario Gotze, this year Lewandowski and Gundogan. The transformation of Gundogan in his first year is remarkable.

Madrid fan but love to see Gundogan at Barca. He definitely has what it takes to develop into a world class playmaker, like Xavi. It is hard to believe he is only 21.

Stop thinking like this...and maybe players would stay at one club. He could also end up on the bench forever at barcelona.

I absolutely hate Dortmund, but I really have to commend them for playing like a unit. They were well organized and attuned to each other's movements against Bayern. And Gundogan's development in the second half of the season has been nothing short of impressive. He really looked, to me, subpar in the early goings of Dortmund's campaign, but what he's been doing in the last couple of months has been key to the team's winning run. Creative plays, wonderful assists and just a terror against the opposing teams' defense. It'll be exciting to see how Gotze, Reus and Gundogan will play together next season. Is Kagawa for sure leaving?

Having said all of this, I still can't stand this team.

Gündogan's development is far from over, he's still adapting to Dortmund's game philosophy and yes, his Rückrunde has been impressive despite this continuing adaption process. I can certainly see why Löw nominated him.

Why is no one writing in german here? Is it forbidden? ^^

And secondly I am not a racist or anything like it but besides Özil do we really need Gündogan in the national team? I really don't wanna see him soon or another international multicultural super fight will start :(
