they are like a fail attempt of Udinese. What must hurt them more is they are just one scudetto away from having a star.

I think their plan is to eventually own 50% of every player in Serie A.

They will then start on Serie B.

Preziosi is offloading the club in order to buy a stake in AC Milan. He needs to cut costs and recoup as much money as possible from the 100 or so players he used to own. He already made 40m Euros on transfers alone and slashed the payroll by more than 50%. I personally expect at least another 7 players (Mesto, Granqvist, Toszer, Merkel, Ze Love, Birsa, Gilardino) to leave before the August 31st deadline. He also refused to pay money for a bunch of players that were brought in by Lo Monaco, turning the club into a complete laughing stock even at international level and probably opening multiple controversies with FIFA.

As long as he doesn't drive us into bankruptcy like he did in the past to Saronno and Como (or, even worse, plan a merger with Sampdoria), I'm personally fine with this strategy...even if it means getting relegated in order to further cut expenses and 'soften' the initial investment needed by potential new owners (10m Euros in Serie B get you a promotion team...in Serie A, they get you 2 average players).

Looks already good enough for Giuve. I'll be stunned if he's still with us come February.

It is a shame how he has run this club. Genoa should be one of the standard bearers of the game in Italy and instead have been pranced around and whored out to the Milan clubs and any other with enough money by Preziosi. Truly despicable.

    Hi friend,

Well, Its because Genoa invited Galatasaray.
    Its Genoa's annivarsary it says.

    ;)

I heard it was a good game. It says , Galatasaray dominated the game but poor finishing at goal area.
    Game ended 0-0
Pk shot outs Genoa won 7-6

Merkel wanted to leave the club and we badly needed a striker. I believe Udinese paid a small cash sum due to Floro's heavier salary.

Merkel might have some potential but his spell here was incredibly disappointing, there is no difference in value right now between him and Floro Flores.
