Genoa lost 5-4 at Inter with there being 4 penalty kick goals (3 by Genoa), 6 yellow cards (4 by Genoa), and a straight red card for each club. Inter scored the first 3 goals of the game. Genoa is down to 16th and has 3 points from their last 5 games.

genoa didn't play bad, neither team did it was really the defense from both sides that caused the tally of goals
at times genoa pressured us and rightfully made our defense pay
Frei was doing well though he did unnecessarily complicate 2 shots
midfield tried their best but was overrun in the first half, second half the pressure came then the sending offs, these things changed the look of the midfield(1 true CM, everyone else was going forward) so I have to give them credit for going out in attacking style

Malesani should have never been brought in in the first place and recalling him for a second stint made no ********ing sense (he looked completely disinterested and detached from the team) so good to see him fired once again...but I'm afraid it's too late for any change. We deserve relegation (much more than Lecce and Novara) and hopefully it will trigger a full-out renovation in terms of both players and especially club officials.

As for yesterday's protest....meh, not a particularly smart idea but it wasn't a big deal. Of course SKY will emphatize it in order to add to their constant anti-stadium propaganda campaign, but I've witnessed much more violent demonstrations in the past. The ultras picked the wrong target, though. Players are to blame too but the main culprit is (and has always been, it's not like this relegation is just bad luck, it has been carefully planned for years) far and away the president.

Anyway, the protest itself isn't nearly as disgusting as its aftermath. Those who now whine and call for arrests (for what?? Mildly insulting a bunch of mercenaries and using fire-crackers?? Give me a break) are exactly the same people that last year were calling for bans and legal consequences after Milanetto got kicked out of town for trying to fix (thank god Mauro Boselli 'didn't know') last year's derby. We now know who was right and who wasn't.

I'm not an ultrà, don't like their sub-culture and live football in a very different way....but they're not nearly as detrimental to the team as arm-chair preziosiani who always cry for the police as soon as their hero is put to shame. Bunch of ass-kissers with no dignity.

cause genoa are a selling club, that and as you said he did well in the euros meaning his price tag went up which is a good thing considering he didn't do so well last season with genoa, hopefully they covered the 8-9 mill that they put out for him

genoa is a selling club, although i thought they had enough money to not have to sell to the ukraine.

subtract veloso and palacio from a team that barely staved off relegation....future isn't exactly looking bright for genoa
