    It was ok, but nothing better than an average tv episode. Not bad, but not good either. Kind of a let down.

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBi00ZiqIv4"]Planet Terror[/ame]

    Great movie!!! Yeah it's over the top and cheesy but that's what they were going for.

    I had actually thought about giving this a miss after seeing Death Proof, which was probabaly one of the worst movies i've seen in a long time (although as i'm not a fan of Tarantino, my view might be just a little bit biased).

    Either way, great flick!!!

    Blair Witch/Cloverfield meets 28 Days later/Dawn of the dead.

    Overall not a bad movie.

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMrUlUASFa0"]Lakeview Terrace[/ame]

    Not bad, but not great either. Pretty predictable.

    Both were not as good as i thought they would be, but they were decent.

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wIRCbLJCKg"]Eagle Eye[/ame]

    HUGE letdown.

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JyhEHKB6cmY"]Babylon A.D.[/ame]

    Not bad, but could have been a lot better.

    Easily better than the 2003 version; i was pretty impressed.

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNSpI9iBcYI"]The Power of One[/ame]

    Great film!!!

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9nn0eKwxHY"]Seven Pounds[/ame]

    Very predictable, but great film nonetheless.

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMY6VJ7k4eg"]Passengers[/ame]

    Again, fairly predicatable. Not bad but not great either.

    Funny at times; very controversial and opens up some interesting topics. Worth watching if you're not easily offended.

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAfmlxwGPFo"]Che[/ame]

    Pretty good film. Overall though, the film itself wasn't as great as i'd hoped it would be. Still a good movie, but far from a classic. Also still need to watch part two.

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTB2pFIv0GY"]Bolt[/ame]

    Decent, nothing special.

    Great film!!

    A few more.......

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4GP9gwMqFhE"]West Side Story[/ame]

    Started of really well, but at around the halfway mark it begun to get a little stale. Overall it was ok, but nothing special.

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDDv6pAbN_U"]Notorious[/ame]

    Decent at best.

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IcYdjHpJUV8"]Terminator Salvation[/ame]

    It's decent only because it's a Terminator movie. Overall though, it was a HUGE letdown.

    the movies i watched over the break.

    1. taken: very good movie, a lot better than what i though, about 2 american girls kidnapped in paris.

    2. house of the lake or something. interesting but like most suspense movies, just not my taste. about some freaks killing a raping 2 girls.

    3. he is not that into you: i havent seen the whole thing but scarlet johanson is on it, that chick is hot, i remember her from the movie vicky, cristina and barcelona and that was a awesome movie.

    i need to watch.

    1. avater: i heard too many good things about it.

    2. distric 9: everybody told me is a good movie.

    Agreed. That is a very good film, a lot better than what i thought it would be.

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SqXnowJjfDc"]Last House on the Left[/ame]

    Yeah this film is pretty full on and very disturbing; definatly not for the faint of heart.

    Personally i think Avatar is the better of the two, but just barely. That might have something to do with me going to see it in 3D and at the movies as opposed to watching District 9 at home on DVD though. I don't think either is as awesome as some people make them out to be, but they are worth watching.

    i also saw the last american pie movie, "book of love" it was not the best but not the worse. it was ok.

    i think gone watch star trek tonight, my brother is telling me how fascinating black holes can be ;)

    i saw part of the black diamond with leo dicaprio, makes me want to watch the whole thing.

    di caprio is not the best actor but he is always in very good movies, the stories on his movies are really good.

    "catch me if you can" was a great movie by him. i would def recommend that movie to anybody who has not seen it.

    Just watched.....

    Great movie that definitely leaves you thinking. Might even have been a one of the best horror/suspence films i've ever seen had it not had certain mistakes here and there. Overall, it really is a great film though. I can easily see myself watching it over and over again. :D

    if you havent seen the movie, you should, is like the modern version of rocky balboa, great movies.

    The Football Factory..

    Re: Favourite television shows

    about the last star trek movies.

    actually my cousin from toronto whos a computer geek explained to me.

    they are talking about some time of white or red matter or energy or something which they use to invated other planets.

    what i found more fascinating was the logistic of the movie, taking advance logic classes in college got me hooked.

    the kid from the other planet is half human, and is really interesting how all of the other kids make fun of him bc he "has feelings" while kids on his planet are an advanced society where they only use logic for reasoning, feelings is not part of their lives. very interesting topic.

    i also loved the the green chick, according to my cousin, 200 years from now we will all be mixed, even with aliens and creatures from other planets, so it wont be rare to see a green chick or an alien drinking at a bar as a regular kid.

    about the the star trek show. there is a documentary about the show where they explain a lot of things, you may want to watch it, it should be somewhere on youtube.

    whats makes it hard is that they use a very advanced scientific language, and at least im not really a sience type of guy but im getting more and more into it thanks to the science channel.

    im trying to get hooked into the whole scify movies, but i just hate it when it comes to crimes and violence, i cannot watch that, is againts my nature.

    i hate this movie, personal reasons :p

    how about any time we post a movie or a music video in the other thread, we explain what we like or hate about the movie. of what reminds or what comes to mind when you watch the movie?

    a little personal thoughts would help.

    Just a good well rounded story about what people go through (and are willing to go through) in order to build a better life for themselves in the US. It also doesn't take itself to seriously and add comedy every now and then which is good. Also a great story in the sense that it shows what a son will do to be with his mother. No doubt it's a tearjerker, but i really enjoyed it. :)

    I Love You Man (2009)
    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1ACTahRSF4"]YouTube- SXSW 2009 Film Trailer: I Love You, Man[/ame]

    This movie was hilarious. Just the whole idea/plot of it is funny because i'm pretty sure some of us have had the problem once in our lives of finding more "guy" friends.

    Amores Perros

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XToRtfQbeHg"]YouTube- Amores Perros (Trailer)[/ame]

    Very interesting film. I'm not sure if this was posted before or not, but the way the three stories linked together and just the sub-plots themselves are worth the watch IMO.

    Valentin

    my girlfriend showed me this film a while back :D the kid ine fillm has a great sense of humor lol

    i'm pretty sure most of you have seen this film. very dramatic and powerful IMO, i like Steven Speilbergs take on the 1972 terrorist attacks on the Israeli Olympic team.

    Yeah that's a great movie. I watched it a long time ago though, but i do remember it was really good. I should really watch it again though, just to see how i feel about it now that i'm a little older.

    That's another great film. I didn't think i'd like it at first, but it turned out to be pretty good.

    Really powerful film. I actually saw this at the movies with about five friends when it first came out. The theatre was packed. One things is for sure and that is that the experience of watching this at the theatre is something i'll never see again with any other movie. It was pretty intense. Again, it's a fantastic film though.

    Here's another Mel Gibson movie.......

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d56HvpPmg8o"]Apocalypto[/ame]

    Saw this when it first came out. I'd actually been looking forward to it ever since i heard it was being made and was disappointed to here it wasn't going to be shown in El Salvador until like six months after it's US premiere (i was in El Salvador at the time). So as you do, i just went down to the market and bought myself a copy. Watched it about 3-4 times in the span of a few days (with different family members). Really good film.
