For a nation this size, is 24 teams enough? I seriously think they should have around maybe 30-40 teams regionally playing one another.
24 sounds enough for D1 for long time considering the league quality. Not every club needs to be in D1.
Yeah maybe they can merge with the NASL and have a 1 & 2 tier set up. I don't think relegation /promotion will ever work but maybe they can use those NASL teams as (baseball minor league type) farm clubs? I know there are already plans to start to loaning out players so that may be good. I still think though a regional set up for a country this size is the way to go...Just my opinion....
I've always thought that the baseball minor-league model was the way to go for soccer in this country, since pro/rel simply will never, ever happen. Ever. Not now, not ever, never.
