Both teams playing some high pressure have made it hard to move the ball through midfield although DC are doing the slightly better job and creating more chances. Our attacking mids are not presenting themselves as scoring threats enough. They're hanging too far back in midfield and stranding Sherjill on an island where he's not effective. [edit]Well crap! Anibaba must have pictures of Frank with farm animals. The guy has given up three goals in three games now. Bench his sorry ass and put RELEASE THE GARGAN!!!
On the other hand, we usually only start playing when we go down a goal so maybe it's OK to be entering every game a goal down by starting Anibaba.
Not too big a surprise since for the first time in three games we're playing a team that actually has a midfield and two scoring threats.
Nyarko finally gets the ball out wide of the box, and there is NOBODY coming into the box to get a cross. Doesn't matter that they are missing two defenders if we aren't going to attack
Fire strategy so far: Acquire ball, give it right back. Bonus points if you kick it straight at a DC player or out of bounds.
Agree, but the Fire should start Alex instead of Paladini, with Paladini replacing Pardo at 70 minutes or so.
well if we are going to lose 1 of our dms to injury for a few games at least might as well try something new. worst case scenario is we revert back.
There is way too much separation between MacDonald and the rest of the team. The Fire are way too slow and deliberate bringing the ball up and letting DC set up the defense. I'm done with Anibaba at RB. We better see a Fernandez or Alex sub for Paladini at half.
