As some of you might know, Wikipedia keeps a list of fully professional leagues - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Football/Fully_professional_leagues

The list is used to assess player articles, and generally articles for players who don't play in a fully professional league are deleted (football articles facing currently facing deletion are documented here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Football#Article_alerts )

There's been a push by some lately to reduce the number of leagues on this list, and not add other ones. There's some obvious holes, such as Costa Rica; and I thought Guatemala was fully professional as well. And there's people pushing to remove Honduras, though I've never seen much solid evidence about the status of that league.

Is anyone aware of any reference for these leagues that demonstrate that they are fully professional (as opposed to just professional, which in the eyes of some, includes the possibility of being semi-professional, where players may get paid to play, but not enough to preclude other employment). Or in the contrary, does anyone have any references that leagues aren't fully professional (such as Panama).

Even if no references, can you tell me if you think Honduran league football is fully professional?

    Bump.

Anyone got any references? It's hard to believe that the Costa Rican league, for example, isn't fully professional.
