Transfer market price is up to $18m now....which narrows further the teams that could ever pony up that kind of cash. Inter actually seems like a team that could desperately use him.
I'd like to see him go to Liverpool. I'm not a Carroll fan what so ever, and I also feel like Dempsey would be a good partner for Suarez up top.
I think there are a lot of teams "that would have" Clint. Issue seems to be that Fulham have him now and really like having him. I keep reading that they do a good job of scaring away potential suitors- sort of like MLS/Donovan type money. Still, this summer is the last summer that Fulham will own Clint's contract, so it's logical that they would think about selling him while they can still get a big, fat paycheck out of the process.
I swear is Clint went to Inter Merda...idk what i would do. Vaffanculo Inter. stay in fulham before thinking of goinng to that train wreck.
Clint has definitely earned at least ESPN movie of the week based on him if not some melodramatic indie film Just needs an A-lister to headline it. any thoughts?
Fulham will be selling him. No doubt about it. Selling him may bring them 10-12 million pounds and lots of younger talent. Plus it's clear Dempsey wants to leave for a CL worthy club. They just need to promote him.
Premier League goalscoring chart now looks like this: 1. Van Persie - 25 2. Rooney - 17 3. Aguero - 16 3. Ba - 16 5. Dzeko - 13 5. Yakubu - 13 7. Dempsey - 12 8. Adebayor - 11 8. Balotelli - 11 Remove penalties and Dempsey's even higher up that list.
12th league goal and 18 in all competitions. It'd be another had that OG been ruled in his favor. But anyway 11 games left, Dempsey could realistically reach 20 in the league. You have to imagine plenty of big clubs across EUROPE are drooling over him now.
He's on pace for about 16-17 goals this season. Which is respectable enough. I think every player who's matched or exceeded that goal tally in the past five seasons (except for Darren Bent) has played for a big or successful Champions League club at some point in time.
Looks like Ba and Yakubu are other options for the same big clubs that might be interested in Dempsey. Ba would cost more because of his age, though.
Congrats on your goals today, Deuce. Both were artistically contrived and finished with certainty. Dempsey is blazing a trail for American attacking players in the prem.
White Hart Lane is only 15 miles from Craven Cottage. Dempsey and Donovan with Harry and Spurs and issues about US field players are long forgotten. .

Clint Dempsey is the pride of Texas. I've been wearing a US shirt with his name on the back of it for 5 days now.
He now stands at 45 PL goals for Fulham. I don't see anyone else at Fulham catching up to him now for quite a while.
Id be completely dumbfounded if someone like Juventus didnt swoop in on him this summer. He's better than anything else theyve got on the offensive side of the ball.
I was thinking about what other leagues might suit him, and I think Italy may not, because they tend not to emphasize wingplay and width in their tactics, so there is much less space in the box. Obviously, Clint thrives on finding space in the box, so this would minimize that attribute. To be clear, I think he would still be successful in Italy, just not as successful as at a bigger English or German club. I think Spain would be a great fit too.
conte really expects alot out of his players, tracking back and pressing as a team. thats not particularly clint's fortay, however i think he could do it. dempsey in the famous bianconeri shirt would probably bring tears to my eyes the first time i saw it. i would love him here. taking us through Champions League next year. Forza Juve Per Semper!
