Re: Summer Transfer Thread 2008 Figure this is a good as place as any to ask the question. Adrian Leijer (sp?), Any chance of getting some first-team action this year ?

Re: Summer Transfer Thread 2008 Nope. Why? Is United really that hard-up for keepers? C'mon, thought you guys were better than that.
Re: Summer Transfer Thread 2008 No no no, we'll be fine. I just wondered if he was "one for the future" and with Schwarzer, Zuberbuler and Niemi in front of him he might go out for experience/playing time.
Re: Summer Transfer Thread 2008 Well, given that Niemi is injured and will be out for a while, not to mention the fact that Niemi is shite and should be sold as soon as possible, I don't think a loan for Stockdale is in the cards.

Re: Summer Transfer Thread 2008 http://www.premierleague.com/page/Headlines/0,,12306~1379462,00.html Dickson Etuhu joins Fulham. And Tottenham have to much nonsense going on right now. Plus, I have always had a soft-spot for Fulham because of McBride.
Re: Summer Transfer Thread 2008 Ahh yes, there's that "soft spot" again...we're like the cute fuzzy teddy bear of the Premiership, aren't we?
Re: Summer Transfer Thread 2008 Eh, that's going to happen when they cycle through so many Americans. Bound to get someone that people in the States like. Aside from that, Fulham have been doing pretty good business this summer and are putting together a team that are easy to pull for.

Re: Summer Transfer Thread 2008 Sounds like Smertin is out without a job. Can't say he had much impact. Surprised he didn't take the loan deal. Maybe there are better options back home.

Re: January Transfer Window 2009 Fulham dont desperately need anyone in January I dont think, doing really well at the moment lads
Transfer Targets for Fulham So far I have seen Fulham mentioned with the following: Defender Christophe Berra: Hearts (Scotland) Defender Tore Reginiussen: Tromso (Norway) Midfielder Joe Ledley: Cardiff City Midfielder Ben Watson: Crystal Palace Defender Onyewu: Standard Liege Any other names?
Re: Transfer Targets for Fulham Why are we always related with Championship players?? To be very honest, and not because he's a Yank, but Gooch would be a good back up from Brede if he decides to head some where else. The only name I recognise, and probably the only one I'd go with.
Re: Transfer Targets for Fulham I think they like Gooch, but they can wait and try and sign him in August if he is not bought by someone else and I think they are intrigued by Tore Reginiussen and his price tag seems to be cheaper. If the reported 5 million pounds Hodgson has to spend is reality then they can sign this kid (only 23 years old and sounds like he is solid) for under 3 million then that will give Hodgson a couple more million to spend. Maybe on a Leroy Lita and Ben Watson swoop. If they sell Bullard then things will certainly change because then they will have an additional 5-8 million pounds for Hodgson to spend which would make for a very intriguing situation for Fulham. I don't mind them being in on Championship players as long as they aren't knee jerk purchases. If they scout them enough and make sure and sign the right ones, there are always players ready for premier league duty in the Colaship and you can get good bargains for them. I think an interesting player to watch could be Joe Ledley from Cardiff because Fulham are having a real problem down the left side with Davies out of form. I too hope they sign Onyewu for personal rooting reasons, but I am not sure how much time he can get on the pitch when you consider that he and Hangeland shouldn't ideally be on the pitch at the same time and keep in my Hangeland has played every minute for Fulham this season.
