Totti got a yellow cause he slapped Mcengue (I think) in the back of the head. You could hear it from the stands. Uncalled for.
I read over on the ASRoma page on BS that this match was a 9 v 9 scrimmage, but that was the first time I'd read that. Then I checked a few of the snapshots people have posted and it does appear to have been a 9-a-side event plus keepers. Why would they do that? The Rollins field isn't so small they couldn't play a full 11 v 11.
I didn't see that. Why did they abuse Mbengue like that? But I knew it wasn't merely for the foul at that point. Who did Lamela elbow to get "sent off"? I thought it was Mbengue, but I'm not sure. The City report doesn't even mention it. How do you know he's not already going to get a sign-up? He'll probably show up on the PSC roster.
From today, Thur. 1/3/13: http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/os-orlando-city-as-roma-exhibition-20130102,0,1950110.story Credit where it's due, I guess.
My mistake. I'd counted twice and only saw nine, but just now did see the full 10 per side, plus keepers. Glad to know it was in fact a proper 11 v 11.
Wanted to quite a lot, but couldn't make time away from work; first work day of the new year, and all that. When I first heard about the match I assumed it'd be an evening thing and was all set to buy tickets and go straight there from work that evening, but the midday kickoff killed that idea. I did see it on Roma's webstream while eating lunch at my desk.
Its a D2 College stadium. But its very nice in a very great location in downtown Winter Park, FL. Wish I could have gone.
