awesome thanks, hopefully people will use this to conserve the other thread, BVM is stuck on schaars as the starter. i would hope to see jetro willems in the second half he has to give both a fair shot to see who is the best,

i'm expecting a 4-0 victory, with lots of skills, hopefully sneijder wakes up and realizes that his place is not secure and performs

Just no more injury scares, please!! Couldn't care less about the final score, tbh. A 'too comfortable' win will send the team to the moon and make them complacent going into the tourney. So I'm inclined to see a hard-fought win, with N. Ireland putting a strong barricade to deny and frustrate Oranje.

Too bad they cannot cancel the match. It really is worthless.

No SBS6 wrong footing me. They have refreshed their line up and this is the correct one:

It's interesting how Willems will work with Afellay. I am going to focus on that this game.

yeah i was trying to figure out like how that would work, i was like is sneijder gonna be on the wing, or van persie on the wing, or is van bommel a secret winger that has these amazing skills he was hiding until now,

Is there any reason why with three changes (LW, LB, LCB) van Persie is supposed to be any more effective in that role than he was in the world cup? If you're going to play with inverted wingers and Sneijder at #10, than you play Huntelaar as the striker to put away loose balls. Van Persie in that role will be just as lost as he was in the WC

i would expect willems, and van der wiel have to provide crosses, that allow, van persie and affellay to get on them, maybe robben, and loose balls or rebounds would be sneijder from distance right? I'm just confused as you, with huntelaar he can get his head on the ball, van persie scores more beautiful volleys but also impractical

Biggest change nobody really talks about: Affelay looking to start over Kuyt, pretty much the only change from the World Cup 2 years ago.

It's pretty stupid from Bert. RVP has come out and said yesterday he has the same chemistry with Afellay that he had with Fabregas. IIRC he said that you only have such chemistry with 5 players in your life. I have called this one a long time ago. I saw it too, but it's always good players themsleves confirm this.

So Bert should do what I have said all along. Afellay behind RVP, Sneijder together with de Jong in DM and indeed wingers going more outside. Robben on left and Narsingh on the right.

    This is stupid from Bert.

However I just heard Northern Ireland went drinking yesterday in Amsterdam, so that could mean a high score that could function as a smoke screen for this dysfunctional line up in relation with striker position.

Sliding in 16 Willems, oke, but not sure I like that as it can go wrong. I like him already offensively.

Bad from RVP he is not running on possible rebound from shot Sneijder. That's -1 for him also as that is important to do for a striker.

RVP is not bad with headers by the way. We see that here, but I have seen 2 quality headers from him this year, much more difficult. Anyway 1-0.

That's class. Hunt should get 45 minutes. Let's make it 50/50 in this game as Huntelaar is also a better noob team basher.

Sneijder with good free kick. That wall acts like they have to win the fair play award. Don't win terrain, nothing.

Afellay gets inside a lot. Willems has to "cover" the whole flank.

Good aggressive forward intervention Willems. Not waiting for the bounce/first touch. That's what I like.

I don't think Robben should play right on the Euro.
