Didn't want to be a downer here but I have to say.... the Uzbekistan defenders were playing like amateurs. I'm actually a little disappointed that we didn't score more goals on them. As I've said before, LDG at this level of opposition will play very well but doesn't had the physical tools to play well against better sides. Not only that, he'll be 35 by the next WC. I hope he isn't considered as an option. Not sure what to think about KTH as the captain yet.... actually, don't know what to think about seeing KTH back on the KNT.... lol
Id like to pose whether people here are more comfortable with KYK or Jung in goal. Honestly, I don't thnk much of either but seeing how he has more experience, Id say Jung at this point. Something about KYK thats sketchy.
He has a WC on his resume and was in place for some time now, plays in his favor. I'd say Jung as well.
I am for Jung as well. I didnt see any major difference between them so might as well use Jung with more experience. On the coaching side of things, I def feel that CKH's tempo is slower but with more assurance inside the box.
I'm just happy his offensive approach isn't one dimensional, unlike our previous coach-- if short passing buildup fails, rush to the flanks and cross, rinse and repeat.
Kim Young-Kwang still seems to have that habit of doing a lil "hop" to get his timing down before making a dive, messing up his timing for quick release shots. That first Uzbek goal, while a good shot, could have been stopped IMO.
Thanks for the highlights. Our defense on the two Uzbekistan goals was just sad. I don't know who played CBs during those goals CBs but they suck and should never ever be called up again.
Cho Sung Hwan was the defender who thought it'd be a great idea to play keepy-uppy with the ball in his own box.
I hope they never call him up again. I hope that I won't even have to read his name again. The way he handled that situation was just straight up worthless. It would be a nightmare if our Cb's get hurt and he get to play.
