Most, if not all, FAs tend to be bureaucratic old boys' clubs, but the KFA is probably more so due to the footballing ignorance in older generations and the lack of a strong, consistent footballing culture in Korea. As I said earlier, I hope that the veterans from 2002 will start to make inroads so that we may start to see definite progress by 2018. I'm keeping my expectations low for 2014.
IIRC our game ended around 65-35, in their favor of course. But considering that Spain average 70%+ against most sides brings those figures into perspective a bit. I haven't watched the Spain-China match but I wonder if Spain played with full intensity given it's their last match just days before the start of Euro '12. Also, if anyone did watch, did China park the bus? I think in our match we weren't parking the bus although we were pinned back most of the match by Spain's ridiculous possession game. Whenever we got the ball we were willing to attack and send bodies forward. Was that the case in the match with China as well? Scorelines can be deceiving. All that being said, well done to China.
the spain china match was sorta even the first half (very similar to ours). the second half china hardly touched the ball and spain had 10 corner kicks. spain are really lacking a killer instinct now that they dont have Villa
I feel there are only so many excuses one can make for the KFA before we write them off as incompetent old farts.
