    Estonia 2-0 ES FT

The thing is who do we put in instead of Dago? At least he has some experience and you know what you get with him the other options are to inconsistent.

Game over. Good play everywhere besides the final third. Absolutely terrible in the final third. Estonia is lucky to have scored at all. They're honestly not good at all. We were superior but didn't have a striker. Terrible taste in my mouth after that.

Mudo is still number one. There's no question Mudo is the best shot stopper.

Alright, Im going to bed. Israel needs to sort out Burgos. Mark, I can understand. He's been in Europe and then played for Metapan and then for U23 so he was hurt. Burgos was a joke up top.

I don't agree he lets in to many easy shots. He will make some great saves then let one in that is right at him personally I like Dago's consistency more. Either way both have major limitations.

Where to start???? For people who keep talking about this team being World Cup worthy. Think again??? For starters All the national team goalies are garbage. They might as well pick up some amateur off the street than bring these travesty of a goalie so called players portillo, montes, and gomes. It always seem like the coaches don't learn from getting burn the first couples of times. These guys or so called goalies should not come around the national team. They are contagious with the loosing syndrome. IDK who else is out there but they have to try someone new at the goalie position. Shoot, they might as well give me a call up! Seriously. The defense seem alright. I understand that you cannot control the biological aspect of your body but these guys need to start developing some defenders with size. I don not care how stiff these big's might be. They should pull them to the side and literally invest on some bigger defenders as teenagers because if we want to have a psychical presence with altitude then unfortunately you need size. The defense did play O.k and was probably the highlight of this game. and they did it against bigger players. You cant control gagoberto "slippery fingers" portillo nor a guy heading a ball towards his teammates back and bouncing in for a goal.for turcios I dont care how weak that Findland league is. IF turcios is going to get exposure to deal with bigger players and learn how not to be faced by bigger challenges then that will do him good. Purdy and Pacheco played ok. Purdy is mostly good beacuse of his height but I like how he plays out of the backfield and still has room to get bigger and as in strength and better as in footbol wise.Pacheco just needs to touch or pass the ball quicker. he holds it a bit too long. I do not know what people see in Garcia but it seems like the NT can improve in that position. If that is the best the NT has then they are in trouble. The same goes for D.Alas. All he does is kick long balls. Yea, I like his tackling and recovery avility but if you are one dimensional then you should not be NT material. Elder played ok. Seemed kind of lost at times but he seemed more involved and did try to create some plays. He is bigger than alas and seemed more involved in the attack. He played O.K for his first game but he can improve. Iam just going to focus on the players who started. IAm not going to give an overall critiuqe. Another one dimensional player is osael romero. This guy is border line garbage. unless their is a free kick the guy is useless. Hes slow for his size and has no physical presence. I extremely hope that A.A or someone else takes up his spot soon because the guy is a liability. Cheyo needs to play alittle more towards the backfield. sort of a creative mid field. He is not a true forward. He is more dangerous when he has the ball on a break away and can either create for another player or look for his shot. But he definitely is not a guy who is going to out muscle players for the ball and score goals. J.Alas plays with a lot of ability. But once again he seems to weak. When guys come to tackle him with a strong move he always falls down or tries to draw the foul. HE needs to man up and earn the foul. You cannot be falling on every physical tackle. Hopefully he moves soon which will accelerate his growth as a soccer player. Lester needs confidence. He has descent sice and is somewhat big "strong". He just needs to work on how to play without the ball. once he learns how to get open without the ball and learns how to play the empty spaces then he can be a goal scoring force to be wreak-en with. Iam not a soccer coach but I don not know why the coach always come out with a line up with one guy up top. Unless you have a world class striker then it is nearly impossible for these guys to have an adequate striking attack. I am not attacking the team. Iam just expressing my opinions and concerns. Iam not saying that there is not potential here. I see guys with talent who can still improve and probably will, but the goalie and a couple of other position need an overhaul. Iam a realist. And looking at this team I do not think that we will make it past the next stage. Mexico and Costa Rica are at least two or tree levels ahead of this team as we stand today. But hopefully a change will be done. if you do the same things, like calling up error prone goalies and one dimensional players then you will get the same result. Yes El salvador soccer is growing but for those who see this team and think that they could just run all over teams like Estonia are completely wrong. There is still a lot of work to be done and hopefully they start tweaking up things before that June game against costa RIca.

Apparently the game was ended early due to fans tossing objects at the linesman. Pure stupidity, as if its the linesmans fault we loss.

Also Purdy may have b roken his nose. He was taken to hospital after the game.

They shouldve subbed in el magico for a few minutes to score a goal for us.

Interesting how certain people come wear ES colors to the "Heart", then drop everything after one loss (a friendly). Like ES lost a 210 game losing streak ;D.. RELAX

I feel the reasons El Salvador lost is 1.Lack of Cohesion 2. Ruben Israels failure to counter Estonias formation ( but then again this was a friendly match, so who cares if you lose, right ??)

The reason I feel cohesion was a huge factor is that I noticed the Estonian Defence was pressing, so the best way to attack that is to catch them offside with pin-point accuracy passing... not holding the ball making 2 or 3 moves, then taking an outside shot, which was the offensive system ES used tonight. ES's most dangerous attack came through Burgos, but he missed...oh well it happens.

    recommendation from GUANACO1

use more intelligent players in the forward position, who are better at holding the ball, and even consider using a 4-5-1 for now, until Zelaya recovers from his injury. I like Burgos, dislike Blanco, although he may not be at his best right now, but that's not my problem.

Use only 1 holding midfielders, not 2..in tonights game El Salvador used figueroa & D.ALas as holding midfielders, that slowed down the offence tonight because they both lack precision passing which would of done wonders vs Estonias defense.

Consider trying out another right back - "Xavier" Garcia didnt look good tonight, and also i've never seen anything special from the kid.

Israel needs to figure out how to make Cheyo & Romero play well off each other, instead of making it a "who's gonna take the shot", they have a lot of experience playing together. If they haven't figured it out by now, it probably never will...Israel should Consider benching Romero.

    Keeper issue...what's new

I'm with you on everything but X. Garcia for what is available he is special. He goes forward well and doesn't look completely lost defending. To me he is hands down our best RB at the moment. I think it would be a mistake to try a variety of different players and hoping one sticks better. Its better to let this group work together more especially since there isn't a clear alternative to Garcia.

Dago did fine.....one goal(fk) was a goalie mistake that happens often...even to the best of them. The other goal that was a header hit off a players back which changed the direction. So there was nothing that i could see that wouldn't have Dago is the Gk for the next game. He had some nice saves and really puts in the effort, unlike mudo at times who just watches the ball go in the net. X.garcia & Turcios looked tired by the second half.....very winded, but again our defense did well very impressed, Pacheco, Purdy, stepped up their game. As for the mid- in the first half we had elder and d alas. they did well individually but not together it being elders first game i think he will get to know his position more on the NT. Osael played out of position and i think hes missing zelaya...Burgos looked like rudis in his prime( i dont know if thats good, but thats what i saw) the estonians goalie did fantastic we had lots of shots on net and he was always there to stop it.

FINAL CONCLUSION------WE WERE TIRED BY THE 60TH MIN

Estonia was lucky to win but the last third of the game we just let the game go. The two goals were a goalkeeper mess up and what looked like a blooper bounce (the ball bounced off the head of the player instead them heading it in). Good test and reality check so a good friendly. A yeah and the ref sucked. He got as bad as ES play towards the end and he ended the game early because his blown calls was about blow over in the stands.
AND, did anybody figure out why the game started 1 hour late?

many aspects to take from this game.// but honestly its still a friendly and you will want to see more players out there playing .

our boys did want to win , played good , not great
first half ... estonia didn't do anything.

GK mistakes , it happends but he really instructed his players better then mudo
excellent defense ... again fail in the last minutes

The talent of Flores and Alas is crazyness..

Elmer - OMG .. you can see he was involved in every play-

Blanco didn't get enough touches to do anything.. it felt more like himself outthere . great shot though ..

Cheyo is great but he needs to pass more and trust his teammates
    (kobe style )

    and the fans.. great time.

what observed was our players are learning more ...

from Blanco shot to flores passes..

Game - ES should have won... we NEED more picardilla

    Well, Where to begin..

The "D" Didn't look bad one bit..i may have wanted a little more physical play from xavi..BUT purdy turcios and pacheco..played a hell of a game...None of the gols that came..were because they made an outstanding play or they left our D in the dust or shit ..it didnt involve any creativity where our players were outplayed in any way shape or form..I woulda been happy if we were faked one way and ended up biting and just missed the player but that was not the case our D stepped up whenever they needed to..had a few slips but..its not a perfect team im looking for..just a consistent team..and they did well despite the days of practice they've had....

Elder- Seems slightly nervous in the beginning the first 10 minutes BUT ..he came back strong..interrupting plays..being a pest and being involved in every attempt Estonia had of attacking or creating a play..and it seems as if he would be there at the nick of time just when the Estonians would have that light bulb light flicker..and WHAMMM their was elder.. Good game for it being his first..Got a chance to meet him at the Hotel they were staying at and he is humble and gratified to of been playing..Real cool dude

Dennis Alas- Played a very physical game...was all over the place...wished he would push the mid a little more up....but it must of been the scheme the coach was trying to implement..

Jamie Alas- Of course the kid did very well..very strong and agile despite his size.. The Estonians attempted to physicially bully him but im glad they decided to "Check " him so he's more used to being pressed by bigger apponenents that we may not have in our region..and he did well passed with flying colors..

Osael Romero-He seems to be idk ..i cant put my finger on it... i know he can be better..WAYYYYYYYY better..i wish he were to maybe be more dynamic as he was in the costa rica game in 09 where he scored both gols for our victory...But i cant complain to much......

Andres Flores- looked really good out there for the time he got to play ..a little stronger pushing of the big dudes off a him and finding gaps to play and make things happen for us..wish him nothing but luck in Denmark it will only make him a better player..

Rafael Burgos- Always liked this kid..he seems really uncontrollable in the front..he does not maintain composure..and is like a kid in a pogo stick..which is freaken great..he's everywhere and finds alternates to make himself more useful..liked the way he played

Lester Blanco- has been hurt should not of played..really wasted a position with him in the first 45 minutes......

Cheyo- WAS HURT AND DIDNT PRACTICE THE FIRST DAY OF PRACTICE...should not of played the first half...BUT thats just me..

Thats really all i have an opinion on..ultimately i will still stand by LA SELECTA unconditionally no matter what... We have came a long way..since de los cobos..and rugamas.. this coach not once has made a change on the squad during a game..where we dont have a breath of fresh air and look great in..all his changes are good ones.. ALWAYS..times like now..i wish castillo was in shape..and ready to go..he woulda done great yesterday..if chino flores was also in shape and not hurt..he would helped us as a sub in the second half.. ... Our team is shaping up well but the process needs to be sped up... I heard they will be having a 20 day camp in may in LOS ANGELES ..in 20 days..i think is a good time to give em some conditioning.. and endurance..that will contribute to their already physical state...

side note i forgot to mention

Romero played horrible .. not sure out of position or hurt or what...

    passes were awful ....

    losing another good player...

    IMO
