In the U.S. Fox Deportes has the game listed for a live showing.
Not sure but I think TVE Internacional will also be showing it either live or delayed.

Some images from Tuesday's training session inside the Estadio Nacional in San Jose.

seriously... 2-0 before half time. Why is Villa not getting on the end of these balls that Cesc can't put away! replace him for Torres ffs.

Yeah because Torres will finish them...

This goes far beyond our strikers. Right now we are a poor team all around. I know it's a friendly and all but that's been the mantra all year right? We better get this shit sorted out before the Euros or we will go out in the group stages.

Exactly, it was a little dig at him. It's terrible and is not looking good for next year at all. I still don't know why Arbeloa plays tbh. As much as Ramos can be decent at the back I miss his runs down the flanks and at least he could put 1 decent ball in every 5 attempts

74% possession yet trailing 0-2. Sometimes it seems DB has forgotten the ultimate goal is to score goals not just dominate possession.

I know it's a friendly but this is ESP and this is Costa Rica.

Well the problem is that they are trying to play like Barca. But Barca have Messi to give them that cutting edge, we don't have a player like that.

2 games in 3 days (one on the other side of the earth) and no injuries. as far as I am concerned everything went as planned.
Euros will be a different game, you best believe.

Interesting the subs brought on in the second half by VDB with the team trailing 2-0.

    46th minute:

Substitution, Spain. Santiago Cazorla replaces Xavi. (Cazorla gets the assist on Villas goal)
Substitution, Spain. Víctor Valdés replaces Iker Casillas.
Substitution, Spain. Jesús Navas replaces Juan Mata.
Substitution, Spain. Sergio Busquets replaces Xabi Alonso.

    64th minute:
Substitution, Spain. David Silva replaces Francesc Fábregas (Silva gets the first goal for Spain)

    70th minute:
Substitution, Spain. Fernando Torres replaces Nacho Monreal. (one shot taken and one miss, hmm no change in play of late for El Ninho)

Silva's level of play has gone up big time since he has been Man City and definitely begs the question as to why he isn't in the starting XI for VDB.

Cazorla has been back in form since WC 2010 and his play at Malaga and the NT demonstrates that and he needs more minutes with the NT.

I would say that these two friendlies should give VDB the impetus to make the necessary changes leading up to Euro 2012 this summer and start leaving off some of the extra baggage of the team, such as Torres, Mata to name a few.

the first half was terrible. You know it's a crappy game when Casillas allows such a goal.

I still think Spain need a real 9 up front. So many play makers but little shot takers. Soldado should really be given a shot. Sergio Ramos looks great in CB and I think Arbeloa continues to play solid. He's no Ramos, but he can defend. Jordi Alba looks to be our LB. Monreal is a good player, just feel that Jordi Alba fits in better. Would of liked to see Jose Enrique from liverpool given a shot though....

Really good article there, sums up really well just what is going on with the team. Unfortunatley, as much as I have always liked Torres, it's time for others to get a chance, especially Llorente, he will add what we just don't have! a tall player, aerial presence. Our corners consist of 3-4 players in the box at times, which ok works well if played short, but even then the ball is still played in. Only threat really comes from Ramos who will throw himself at anything, including other players.

Don't want to go all crazy and say these are bad times, worry like its the end of the world or anything, but I just hope we don't get humilated out there in the Euros. Especially if we got a chance being in a group of death with the likes of England, Portugal & France! I would also had to see VDB be sacked too!

No need to play fake 9's or 10's we have the players and should be using these friendlies to get the best out of them, at the end of the day, strong or weak team, we have lost most of our friendlies so won't make any difference.

Someone want to send that article to VDB? ;)

Torres hasn't played much lately so why hasn't DB tried another CF like Llorente or ??? instead of relying on the false 9 tactic?

Great article and site which I just ended up bookmarking. They noted some of the things I had been thinking about and brought up other items which never occurred to me. Who says there is no critical thinking here at Big Soccer!

The only downside to the site is they don't do a report like this for every game. :D
