Those of you who saw USA play last night should all pray that Freddy Finds Form. The sarcastic ones must have bought into that box to box midfielder nonsense.

His agent is in Blackburn. Looks like they didn't get what they wanted from the Mexicans clubs. From my friends in the UK, that site is a credible site. They can be wrong like any site that tries to break news before it happens.

So dumb... if he does go. He really should be in mexico. So what if it's less than what he'd earn in England???

I agree, he should go to Mexico. Either way, I am watching. They run a 1-5-4 offense. Rhodes is the lone striker and they play for possession via what the fans say. They said they need someone who can make an impact but do not think it's Adu.

It might have been too late for Mexico. Their transfers happen in December, since Clausura starts in early January. Teams must register rosters before the start of the season.

Teams can only bring a player in Jan. if they have a foreign slot open (they have 5 total). Seems that most teams wouldn't have one.

You can only go where you're wanted.

I'll leave it to others to make sarcastic jokes about this.

If memory serves, Freddy had a hat trick with a US youth team (U17's, U20's?) single-handedly destroying a Blackburn reserve side a few years back. Could be the club has had this in the back of their mind for some time now.

Yep. This fact is certainly worth keeping in mind.
    3 goals in 45 min.

Ives, btw, says Blackburn rumors are nonsense and the Union may eat his salary and deal with MLS or buy him out.

Against first team sides (friendlies), he also made a few Juventus defenders look silly while at Monaco, and did well against Celtic too (was linked with them at one time; actually, before that All-Star game). Seems like ages ago...

I heard he found his uniform - it belonged to a 5'3" guy.

Cool, I'm down for a 5'3 player if he's good. Maradona was around that height.

P.S. Your "joke" was horrendous, barely even qualifies as humor tbh. It's literally like something Brick Tamland would say.

I heard Adu put on Maradona's uniform ... now they can't find him.

Your degree of ignorance is shocking. Here we have a guy who's literally making fun of a football player for being short. People like you are the main thing holding back US Soccer, and once your generation is no longer in control, there will be a huge improvement.

You mean he was in Europe not playing for five years, right?

That has nothing to do with what I said. Why do you respond with things which have no bearing on my post?

Having an apartment, previously playing in Europe and you thinking he can play anywhere in Europe has nothing to do with getting a WP to play in England. You posted this thread about Freddy playing in the Championship, which is in England, which is in the UK and subject to the UK WP laws. Nothing you've said is any explanation as to how Freddy would get a WP in England. Or do you think Freddy would win on appeal because he has a freakin apartment in Lisbon?

For the sake of the Yanks Abroad forum, I want Adu to stay in MLS or go to USL/NASL.

Are you talking about the same Adu that played in less games in his first year back in the MLS than even Charlies Davies, and only had 1 assist in those games? Sorry, but he cant even maintain performance in the MLS too well right now.

Latest rumor making the rounds, of course (seemingly based on speculative interpretations of a tweet about a pending loan from MLS), links Freddy to AVFC.

Christmas may just come early for Skevin and Friedel'sAccent's. :whistling:
