That might be a tough work permit appeal. He hasn't played for the national team since the 2011 Gold Cup.

Also, the source seems pretty dubious.

I don't know if he's a dud but there's no denying he needs to pull his head out of his ass. Whether he does or not is the million dollar question. I don't see him going to Blackburn. His game is taylormade for a slow, possession oriented league/club. The Championship goes 1000 mph. Mexico would be perfect for Adu. I wouldn't be surprised to see him land there.

This move doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

I don't like the league for Freddy, and I don't know how he'd qualify for a work permit anyway.

Weird, sometime in the last 2 hours I discovered that I've always been a fan of Blackburn!

If you mean @Friedel'sAccent, he's where he's always been, defending his right to an apostrophe and waiting for an opportunity to lock down the latest Adu transfer thread. With luck he'll let this one ride for awhile. Count me in!

That's the same shitty website that conjured up the CJ Sapong to Arsenal rumors. That website has no credibility whatsoever.

Brek will be the 12th straight American to win a WP on appeal.

Then Freddy will break the streak....

Yikes dude calm down. Sometimes people like to hear of speculative news about Yanks Abroad no matter who the player is.

Which has nothing to do with getting a WP in England this time around. Or did Blackburn move to Spain recently?

Freddy has zero caps in the Klinsmann era, right?

I can just see Freddy being asked to get at the end of long balls.

"Jump, Freddy, jump. Don't just stand there." -

"I am jumping, coach. An inch off the ground is as good as I can do".

He might get a permit with the "exceptional old age player exception."

Think he made an early camp but no actual caps. Think his last cap was the GC under Bob.

Adu still has a apartment in Libson and played in Europe for 5 years. I think he can play anywhere in Europe.
