I hope Weltmann doesn't mind if I shamelessly pinch his final words from the old thread so that we can jump straight into what's left of summer silly season and place our bets for what's coming next. So shortly after Germany (however well deserved in the end) snatched the Euros crown from underneath Sweden's pretty nose, I thought it prudent to make the thread title explicitly all-encompassing. Let me add a special mention for newbie Cloppenburg, a club from the middle of almost-although-not-quite nowhere in northern Germany. They've got money and ambition, and it'll be interesting to see whether they'll be the first northern German club in a long time who'll be able to stay in the top league for longer than a season at a time. And will Ally Krieger come back to Europe?
Australian international Tameka Butt is leaving Frankfurt and returning to Australia "for personal reasons". And Valeria Kleiner, who has been injured almost the entire time she was with them, is leaving them too to make a fresh start at Bayern Munich.
Can you get out of the club thread, you buffoon? The Mexican national team doesn't play in the Bundesliga.
I have to admit that the name didn't mean anything to me, but: Kiwi captain Abby Erceg is about to sign with Jena. (Ria Percival and Amber Hearn must have been giving them a good reference.)
Apparently Linköping is releasing Nilla Fischer early, and she will be Wolfsburg's from the 19th aug. That means that her game against Piteå on Sunday, will be her last in the Linköping jersey.
Tyresö coach Gustavsson spoke that negotiations are underway with the US Soccer, about keeping the yanks longer in Sweden than only for the few last months of the season. I guess he wants them for the following season, and CL if they manage to progress further. He said that the negotiations were promising.
I know, sorry - it used to get on my nerves every time the Frankfurt website would get it wrong. I wouldn't be surprised either if they stayed longer.
Well after their two failed matches after the break they have no longer any realistic chance to reach a CL spot so that make sense.
And I guess the second aspect to the decision of letting her go, was a sum of money? The money alone might not have been enough, but since they fell behind after the Euros, and their chances are slim to none as you said. They might have thought why not release her now, and earn a buck or two. How much it could be would only be a speculation, since both teams seemed to agree, to keep it at the down-low.

How did you get info about the last two games? They usually post which 2 games are next, now there are 4 games posted, but how did you find about the games in October. Can't say that ever look anywhere but the "live" page: http://tv.dfb.de/live/index.php?live=list
Would have never ever considered, that there is a "scroller" there, . I actually don't think I have ever moved the mouse over that particular part of the page, or I would have seen it. Well, a day is never wasted when you learn something new.
Jena have also signed goalie Stenia Michel from FC Zurich. And they are potentially in the market for someone to fill in for Swiss international Lara Keller, who only just joined them but is now out with an ACL injury. Another recent ACL victim is, unfortunately, Duisburg's Gülhiye Cengiz. Other injury victims include Frankfurt's Babett Peter, who has now had surgery for the fatigue fracture which kept her from playing in the Euros, and Wolfsburg's Zsanett Jakabfi, who has had foot surgery too. Both of them will still be out for a while. In other news, Peggy Kuznik, who had only just joined Wolfsburg from Bad Neuenahr, is already leaving again, for personal reasons. (She said she had underestimated the situation from both a sports and a personal perspective, so she asked to be released from her contract.)
