All I heard is that Blanc would step down as coach if France fail to qualify for Euro 2012.

With all the great things happening, all the positive momentum and with Blanc coaching... I would be stunned if France didn't qualify.

I agree. And not just qualify, but make it to at least the semifinals.

Spain is still a force to be reckoned with, but I think France has their number (just like with Brazil's).

The teams I fear because they have proven they can defeat Les Bleus are: Germany, Italy and Argentina.

I can't wait until France get another shot at Mexico. I still have to hear about wc 2010 from all of the Mexican fans here in Denver (and there are plenty). By the way, aren't France playing them in a friendly some time this year?? I thought I heard that a while back but I can't find any info about it.

We were but apparently it's been cancelled .

Does anyone know when FIFA is going to update the rankings ? We've won our last 5 games so we should be up a good few places .

haven't you heard? there's a frenchwoman in jail in mexico who was convicted on trumped-up kidnapping charges a couple of years ago, and her last appeal just fell through: she's looking at 60 years basically because (this is my best understanding) some narco kingpin wanted to play a dirty trick on her brother.

so now it's a diplomatic crisis between france and mexico. this year was supposed to be 'l'année du méxique" in france, with lots of festivals and museum exhibitions, that's being pretty much cancelled now.

Pretty disappointing. After beating England and Brazil, France only moved up 1 spot in the latest FIFA rankings.

I used to not worry about France's ranking, but then last year they started playing like Burkina faso.
