Sagna is really horrible . He adds nothing going forward . Just keeps losing the ball everytime when we're on the attack .

I totally agree. Reveillere just earned his starting spot without even playing. Sagna looked terrible.

He seemed very slow today to recognize players making a break, or move to an open space, or even find a passing lane.

The last time Reveillere played he was great , then got dropped for Sagna . I didn't understand it and I still don't . Must be because he plays for Arsenal or something . Reveillere is the better player period !

Mexes was a monster today I thought . More times then not he was the one breaking down the Brazilians attack with precision .

Wished Cabaye and Gameiro got more minutes .

Menez had a good match. It was much better than the last time he played for France. He made a lot of defensive efforts during the first half which contrasts with Remy who does not know how to do it. During the second half he succeed one or two dribble and he gained confidence. Perhaps, he even tried too hard to beat the brasilian players sometimes.

I can't wait 'til Nasri is back in the mix. The future is looking a bit brighter this evening.

And Les Bleus have a near-monopoly on the best LBs in the world: Evra, Abidal, Cissokho, Trémoulinas, Clichy.

Ah, but the point is that world class LBs are, by far, the most rare of animals!

Since Les Bleus have most of them, it means other teams don't. The LB position is a weakness for Spain, Germany, Brazil, etc.

Only saw the highlights of the game. WTF was Hernanes doing?

Good to hear that Menez and Mexes played well. Two very underrated players in my opinion. Blanc re-introducing Mexes into the national setup seems to have lit some kind of fire in him. He has been by far Roma's best defender this season after having a major dip in form last season.

How is it possible to lose at home to Belarus and defeat Brazil in the same cycle? :D

Jokes aside, good result from Les Bleus.

France have a habit of under-estimating and under-performing against the lesser lights. I like the way this young side go about their business. Laurent Blanc's appointment as head coach seems to have infused them with self-belief. Last year's World Cup fiasco is fading fast from memories. Menez looked good. Benzema also caught the eye, but honestly, he really should have had a hat-trick! He can and needs to be more lethal. His playing style bears an uncanny resemblance with that of Luiz Nazario da Lima aka Ronaldo I, interestingly enough. This victory is all the more remarkable when one considers that France's best player at the moment, Samir Nasri, was forced to miss the game due to injury. Now for wins against Spain and Argentina!

Pretty good match. I overall like what I saw from the team. Before the sending off Brazil did have the better of us though. They were controlling the ball (a team dominating the possesion against us looks very odd), and forcing us into making some bad passes. It seems like every player had at least one atrcious pass. But the defense was standing firm and Brazil didn't have any really threatening chances. Once the rightly deserved but still disapointing red, we took over. Just want I wanted to see. If we claim to be a world class side, we have to grab a match by the throat once given the man advantage. Aganist any team in the world I would expect it, and we did. We ran through them constantly and Brazil looked very lost at times in the begining of the second half. Well worked goal by Menez, and cool finish from Benz. Menez had a great match, I'm happy for him. Benz looked awesome too, was lively all over the pitch, running at defenders and making things happen. Would have been happier if he grabbed another goal, he deserved it. Gourcuff had a ok game, not amazing by any stretch but he did a job out there. That one touch he had to Benz in the first half was sublime. If Benz could have finished, that would have eaisly been the prettiest goal we've scored in a while. I wasn't happy with Malouda's play today, I felt he could have contributed more. I also wasn't happy with M'Vila today, I thought he looked a bit lost when Brazil was taking the game to us. We need someone to breakup and start quick plays deep in the midfield and he wasn't up for it against this Brazil side. Which also leads to Alou Diarra. He is a more than competent DM, but still limited. We need to force plays deep in the midfield when it was 11 v. 11, and Toulalan is a much better at that, when he's in form. I'd eventually like to see Toulalan regain the starting spot. Against Bosnia and the such Alou is fine, but against the elite sides we need a more dynamic player back there.
