Apparently Tottenham have shown interest in Del Piero. They must need a striker BAD. Sydney FC are also preparing to offer him a contract. If he was coming here, I think it would have happened by now. With Villarreal's emergence, Del Piero is simply not needed.
Not needed at all. Not only because of Villarreal but because when Buddle finally comes back it'll be like having a new signing. We need a speedy RM/RW more then anything right now.
Couldnt agree more. As stated, Buddle is returning from injury soon so that will be another striker back. We currently have Keane, Donovan, Magee, Buddle and Villareal who can play that position so there is no need to throw another one into the mix. Villareal needs minutes in order to keep improving and I am not sure how much time he'd get with Buddle and Del Piero competing against him.
I would've like to have seen him come to MLS even if he didn't play for LA. It would've made things a little more interesting and brought more attention to the league (hopefully not in a bad retirement league way)
